Hey! does anybody know what's up with these Kmart posters I hear so much about??

Jedicat-are you disappointed you had to get Yoda from the fan club? It was probably like 8 or 9 bucks right? Or do you just like the thrill of the chase?

My two words MIKE SHANAHAN! Is he the man or what? I mean, no politics, no B.S., no warm fuzzy feelings, just cold, hard, business. I absolutely love the guy.

Have you guys heard about Griese's hard snap count? I guess its becoming legendary in practice. Remind you of a certain other young Q.B. we all knew & loved?

Anyway, Jedicat getting the figure from the Fan Club isn't a terrible thing. Its actually where I get most of my figures.

Just an FYI, keep your eyes peeled to this forum or mosespa.com just after Labor Day, once the Fan Club's 15% off ends, 'cause we'll be releasing new figures! I'll post it here once they are available.

Shanahan is the MASTERMIND. As far as getting figs from the fan club. Don't getta me wrongo, it's a totally awesome place to get figs! But 77, you have to love the thrill of the chase. Or finding that certain fig that makes ya go, "DAAAAAAMMMMNNN!!!" I associate collecting with gambling (from a certain point of view). You go to a store and sometimes it's JACKPOT! Other times it's a wasted trip. But you keep going back and checking just hoping and praying that the next time will be jackpot!

BTW if the kid Griese can't get it done, there's always Miller!

Okay, let's take the Casino analogy one step further. Let's say you worked at Caeser's Palace. You knew every machine that paid off well, every good dealer, etc. etc. Now, would you cross the Strip to the Luxor and take a shot in the dark, or gamble at the Palace (imagine they would let you) and win most of the time?

By working at the Fan Club, I do miss the thrill of the chase. I offset it by different thrills of seeing and holding EP I stuff months before May 3rd, and seeing all the new figures before they even hit stores. I guess its a trade off.

I don't mind buying from the FanClub, in fact I have gotten excellent service there, except for that one pesky backorder, but never mind.
I do like the thrill of the hunt, the excitement of the chase...but after week after week of finding nothing but the same old stuff I start to get frustrated and disappointed and wonder what the heck am I doing chasing after these toys...until I finally find another new one!!!

Ahh, Vegas. A little place we like to call heaven on earth! Trust me 77 I'd like to have your side of that trade off!

Hey does anyone know if there's a SW "shop" in Lo Do? I heard that there was, but I can't remember where it was located.

Ahh Las Vegas indeed. Only a little more
than a month & I shall be there on
vacation. BTW has anyone else ever been
to the FAO Swartz @ Ceasar's Palace?
When I was ther last year they had an
awesome SW display. Las Vegas is almost as cool as Colorado.

How often do you guys (AND gals) check the Walmarts and Soopers? How often does Soopers get in new stock? I'm coming to the big city next weekend and I need to know where to look. Does anyone have a copy of the new Insider (besides 77-you lucky dawg ). I just want to know if it's out on newsstands now.

BTW 77, we know Shanahan would not do us wrong! (Great game, huh?)
    COLORADO ROCKS!

I finally found some new figures!!! Yipeee!!
I found the new classic wave at the Electronics Boutique in Aurora Mall!! There is still nothing at the toy stores!! What is up with that? I tried Walmart and only found a Universal Monster I had been looking for.
Lately Soopers has not had any new figures but they still rate above the other stores, espcially toy stores.
I received my new Insider last Friday. It is great!!! Subscribers received the Aurra Sing cover while the newstands have the Naboo Fighter cover. It is a great issue with a report about the Denver Celebration.

Sorry for the delay! I've been away for a bit. The Wal-Mart I went to is on Youngfield and 32nd right off of I-70. And I also saw the 12" figures at K-Mart on Colfax west of Kipling.

OGJ-Which 12 inch figs did you see?

Hey '77! Wot's the latest from the warehouse? Are the new figs in yet? (BTW what did you think of Griese/Miller?)

Jedicat-have you ever bought your figures from the Software Etc.? There prices are a little higher, but they're less picked through. As far as the toystores go I think they have too much stock on hand. I've heard that some stores have CASES of new figs, but won't put them out 'til the "pegwarmers" are gone. Kinda sucks, don't it?

Has anyone seen the Boss Nass pepsi can? And what about that Tatooine Duel Cinema Scene? I've GOTTA have that!!

Hi fellow COdans. Chewierulz, I'm not sure what to tell you about KSoops and Walmart. Walmart usually has a lot of stuff, but I don't think I've ever really had a "find" there. I think you have to know someone there to get the harder-to-get figures. Plus, their check-out lines are THE WORST. I wait at least 5-10 min. even in the express lane.

King Soopers has scored me one great find - I finally found Yoda, packed away on a high shelf with a bunch of Padmes, Jar-Jars and other regulars. I know what you mean about the thrill of the search Jedicat. It just keeps me coming back for more. Back to KingSoopers though - all the other ones I've checked haven't had squat! My regular one only has TWO measly Jar-Jars - nothing else. But I think if you hit them on the right day, you score. But I think they only get a new shipment about every two months or something.

I still get the best stuff at ToysRUs. They seem to get new stuff about every three days so the chances of hitting it while the new stuff hasn't been taken yet are better. My best day was after I'd been there late on a Tues night. They were really barren, but I knew some of the other stores were getting a lot of new figs at the time. On a hunch, I went back the next day early. Sure enough, they had put the new stuff out after close the night before. I got a Destroyer Droid, the new Coruscant Amidala and the new Tattoine Darth Maul. Nerd Nirvana!

My family thinks I'm crazy, so I buy extras for my nieces and tell them I'm doing it for the kids. But if I find a Naboo Anakin - tough for them! It's mine.

As for Bronco Football - what do you think about this drug business with Romanowski. As far as I can see, it's just mere stupidity on the part of all involved, especially the doctor.

CSU football is out-of-hand. At least if the Broncos don't three-peat, we'll have still had an annual tear-gassing!!!!

BTW, is Aunt Beru a good figure? I bought one the other day because I hadn't seen one yet. But now I feel like I have to get an Uncle Owen to match it (%&$#@!!).

Chewie: The two 12" figures I found were the battledroid, and Watto. The Battle droid folds up by the way. Like in the movie. There's a pic on the back for Obi Wan, but they didn't have any of those. My roomate just got 6" Anakin. I'm waiting for the 6" pit droids.

Chewierulz well...I can't really get into specifics, but look for some new/hot stuff sometime this week, possibly as early as Tuesday morning .

As for Da Broncs, Griese looked good. I mean, Miller gave it to the scrubs (4 TDs? Wow!) but Griese's throws looked like lasers. If Ed doesn't drop that one, that's the first passing TD for the 1st team all pre-season. I am so sick of the Denver media (talk shows & the Denver Post to be specific) ripping Shanahan and jumping on the "poor Bubby, he's a martyr" bandwagon. Get off it. One guy in the post accused Shanahan off rigging the S.F. game to make Griese look good. Sometimes I really wanna smack people...

Sadly, I went on a huge circuit of all the major stores in the area this weekend and found nadda for new Star Wars stuff.

Report from the front here: TRU has in stock the newest classic assortment--Han, Luke, Greedo, and Jawa--and the Epic Force Darth Maul and Obi-Wan.
To make the yoda click onto my edit post, copy down the entire url, then on your next posting type the whole thing into your message and voila!! A Yoda! Thanks to Qui-Gon Frei who first showed us all of these cool toys to play with here!!!
Isn't it strange how the newest figures are usually at the other stores first, instead of the toy stores???
