Amph Cocaine Bear

Like this movie, a show that somehow…got made. And they made a lot of them. 68 whole episodes!

 

It was basically Zombieland (in terms of overall tone) meets The Walking Dead (in terms of being a TV show about survivors in a zombie apocalypse). It was fun, didn't take itself too seriously, had its moments, had its highs and lows, like any TV show. You knew what you were getting into if you sat down to watch it. I've seen much worse that actually tried to be good.

The cocaine bear just reminded me of it.

 

There was no criticism implied. We need more zombie bears and cocaine bears in the world.

 

Yes we do. Good lord yes we do.

That mutant terror bear in Annihilation was pretty great too.

Revoking women’s right to vote.

Crypto and Nonfudge GIFs.

The COVID pandemic.

Revoking the right to vote for all non-white males and anyone who doesn’t own land.

It seems like all of it would almost be worth it for Cocaine Bear the movie to win Best Picture in this timeline.

That was super fun and appropriately messy. Is that Ray Liotta's final movie? The film was dedicated to him so

if he goes out as an unrepentant bad guy and eaten by a family of coked up bears, that's a hellova way to go out cinematically for alll time.

 

I'm reading this out of context, and it was damn hilarious.

Seriously, though, we saw the movie and it was interesting. I agree with BigAl's assessment.

 

This movie should be canonized into the Disney Star Wars prequels. They can invite the bear to play Chewbacca.

 

It did better than expected this weekend but has a B- Cinemascore, so I assume its path to streaming will be quick.

 

It's a Univeral release, if they don't make 50 million opening weekend it's on streaming about 2 and a half weeks later

 

Is this a ripoff of the white walker bear from Game of Thrones S7 E6?

 

Ok, but this thing costed just 30 million and at this point it already made back it all. Like M3GAN, a highly profitable movie.
If they can keep the budget low we'll certainly see Cocaine Bear II, II and IV

definitely has sequel potential, there are multiple Cocaine Bears still around.
The way the bear gets revived by sniffing coke in a critical moment ala Popeye's spinach was genius

unlike the real life story where Pablo Escobear was found dead with a stomach full of cocaine

 

Oh, hell. I thought I was out of this place for good. Today I’ve found out about Cocaine Bear here and apparently I now need to come back all the time forever because if I don’t, I might miss Cocaine Bear II, III, IV, MCMXCVII …

 

Once you think you’re out, Cocaine Bear drags you back in
