did anyone think the youngling in the jdei temple, who aked Ani "what are we going to do?" in a cockney accent funny? For some reason, i found it so funny, he looked so cute, but his accent seemed so out of place
aye it's a tad funny. But I like it. I origianlly thought that the adawan would have opened his robe to reveal a load of black market sabres : " 3 for a fiver!" But No, anakin killed him
That bit makes me laugh slightly too, and now that I think about it more, he does sound cockney. Maybe he accidentally wandered onto the RotS set from the Eastenders set? However, I do think that scene is really powerful and well done, and after the third time the youngling's acting didn't seem quite so bad for me...and he is cute. I'm also fairly convinced that that same youngling is seen again in the one of the hallways when Obi-Wan and Yoda realise that they were killed with lightsabers. So maybe they did put up a bit of a fight against Anakin??
I take offence to the comments made. I, myself am a cockernee and I've never held any stick with dodgy dealings... 2 FOR A POUND! GET 'EM WHILE THEY'RE CHEAP!! lol
who was the little cockney youngling anyway? someone's kid from the set? does he count as a chav? I'm new to this term (not having lived in the UK for a while)
I think he sounded like he was from a really bad school play. Yeah - it's the one bit of the film that grates a bit for me. Having said that, no children that age can act, and if some cg sprog delivered the line the slaughter wouldn't have had the same effect.

You mean the bit before Anakin gets out his next-door-neighbour? Harks back to: "I think we've got something, sir"
If you thought cockney youngling was a bad actor, you should see the little boy who talks to Herr Lipp at the end of The League Of Gentlemen's Apocalypse. Makes our 'Timmy' look like Laurence Olivier!
