The Princess of Hapes is captured, her best friend is teetering on the edge of the Dark Side, and specters of the past merge with visions of the future. Will the Jedi be able to stop the Dark Lord who calls himself the Emperor? And will they be able to prevent his daughter's schemes to destroy him and rule in his place?
Notes: Follows 25 years after Sithstrike, but is written to stand alone. J/J is mentioned but both are minor characters in this; J/TK is a subplot but not the focus. Approximately 62,000 words. Not really AU after The Unseen Queen, but will probably become AU by The Swarm War.

Notes: This was originally written for my response to vader_incarnate?s Quotation Roulette challenge. I?m now elaborating on it and I?ve changed it a bit. It's somewhat based on a song by Relient K ? it?s called Mood Rings. Hence the title of the fic. This is a short story consisting of several parts.

Title: The Eight Degrees of Garik Loran

Summary: This is a series of eight vignettes tracing a path from bedrock-level Coruscant to Garik "The Face" Loran. They are connected, canon-based, and completely out of chronological order.
Author's Note: This was spawned by a scene in The_Face's "Galaxy Noir" series, where one narrator makes a passing comment about an "eight degrees of Garik Loran" style connection. So it's essentially the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game, SW fanfic style.
