CONTEST - Episode III Location WIP: Coruscant - Padmé's Verandah

SCI-FI 3D EPISODE III ROOM/LOCATION MODELLING COMPETITION

Subject: Coruscant - Padmé's Verandah

Description: The first time this location is shown in the movies is when Anakin has his bad dream. Padme and Anakin talk about this dream. Then again when Anakin and Padme meet and talk about the war
Later when Anakin has done his killing at the Jedi temple, he meets with Padme on the Verandah and takes of to Mustafar. Then for the final time when Obi-Wan wants to know where Anakin has gone to.

Initial version was made from the hyperspace webcam, before the movie was released. The webcam showed the consturction of this set.
When entering the Competition, I restarted the model, almost every object is made again. (only the statues bodies have been re-used, but have been update with much more detail)
Overall the model has much more detail, and new textures. Also the hallway in the center has been added, (no time to do the room behind the hallway)

Used: 3D MAX 8, Vray free version

Polygons count: 425204 (650911 triangles) oeps
Lights: 10 (thanks to Vray ofcourse)
File size (model and textures): 42.3 MB
Rendering time: 13-26 min for 1600x1200

Wow man. Really good. You deserve your sleep (not saying that the others don't.)

 

Amazing. How long did that take?

 

I did not keep track. But I guess from 60 to 100 hours.

 

Does anyone have problems downloading the second page of this forum item? I can make the pictures smaller (800x600) and repost them to make loading faster.

Thanks for the picture, I do not have time to render all the picture again, because that takes to long, about 20 min per picture, I will do an update on the pictures after the contest. This is also the real outside of the room, and much better
than the one I scaned. I did one picture update so you can see what I will look like
