PT Could Anakin and Obi Wan have taken Dooku in AOTC?

I mean, you'd have to assume there was some training involving what they would do if they encountered a Sith or an enemy. And I'm pretty sure it didn't involve Anakin racing at him alone. There is a deleted scene in ROTS where Obi Wan and Anakin have hand signals for different strategies when they are rescuing the chancellor.

unless Dooku didn't know what the words 'left' and 'slowly' meant then yeah I see your point, they were talking code.

True. Anakin's impatience/defiance certainly did not help and got them both injured.

I found the dialogue a little weak there tbh.

It would have been a better match but Dooku would have prevailed. I think the beginning of ROTS makes that clear when he held off a more powerful Obi Wan and Anakin for a while.

Could they? Well, it would be possible. But would they do it 51% or more of the time? No. Even working as a team, the AOTC versions of these Jedi would prevail 40% of the time or less.
Dooku was either still at his peak or slightly past it in Revenge of the Sith and managed to knock Obi-Wan out. An Obi-Wan at his peak age/accolades who would fight evenly with Pre-Suit Vader and goad him into a risky leap. By most accounts, Dooku should've been killed before he could knock Obi-Wan out. But he still did well considering when you take into account the massive power of Obi-Wan and Anakin.
The most I could see happening is Anakin and Obi-Wan avoiding lightsaber injuries from Dooku. And as he's about to double down and finish the fight, Yoda arrives. Dooku would flee right away.
All in all, Anakin and Obi-Wan were not one of the better bets to capture Dooku. If the surviving Jedi came up with a better plan over a commlink discussion in the gunships, they could have...

no. 100% not a chance in hell.

in the war, both anakin and obi-wan became much more experience and powerful than the were before the war. and that is why anakin could defeat him. before the war (and all the experience that comes with it with the sword), dooku was simply superior to them in every way. he was stronger with the force, he was stronger with the lightsaber, he was more mature with his feelings.
in AOTC they were child-play to him.

 

Dooku is a far superior duelist and force user than both of them. Anakin's decision to charge in without thinking just made it easier, but Dooku really wasn't at risk at all I think during the entire engagement.

 

Dooku defeating Anakin and Obi was I believe meant to show the Chosen One the Power of the Dark Side, and show that even well trained Jedi like Kenobi and one with great potential like Ani are no match for the dark sids.

 

Dooku really wasn't trying that hard in all honesty. That isn't to say he was toying with them, but it's clear that he was the superior of both and was really just keeping them at bay until he could flee the planet.

 

He certainly was toying with Kenobi, but after his duel with Anakin he looks worn out:

I think it was real, not for show. There was no need to look tired, Kenobi and Anakin both on the floor and neutralized. Dooku’s face changes after panting when he senses Yoda.

 

I thought he was disappointed, like ‘Wow, Sidious had such hopes for you and I wiped the floor with you.’

 

I thought it was a mixture of tiredness and reflection.

But when he sensed Yoda the bravado, puffed up chest suave returned.

 

Or it could be that Christopher Lee was well into his 80's.
