If Maul mastered all of Talzin's abilities, he'd be equal if not more powerful than Sidious - that would be a marvel to see on screen.

Maul being held prisoner reminded me of Revan being held prisoner, both were being held captive and tortured over a period of time by a Sith Master/Emperor and both having some key destiny and greater part to play are other similarities. Stygeon Prime prison always rather reminded me of Maelstrom Prison in a few ways and serve the same purpose - and Death Watch super commandos Kast and Saxon were kinda like Strike team/ Havok squad that rescued Revan.

A double-bladed blue lightsaber? Gush, that was 4000 years ago, wasn't it? But a movie about that would be awesome.

Yea, Exar Kun debuted that. The Jedi Temple Guards sported double-bladed yellow lightabers, while Krell used different colors on each end comprising of green and blue. I think originally Maul's lightsaber was to of standard size length lightsaber hilt, but Park requested a much longer hilt for practical reasons but I think it ended up being better since its two lightsaber's connected, and not one whole piece that if destroyed is useless. Thats what also made the difference in the duel between Kanan and The Inquisitor, whereas Maul's lightsaber was still very much operational and it kept Kenobi from gaining a victory.

Maul's position in that SOD panel is very Christ-like, its essentially a reverse crucifixion scene, and his crown of horns acts as a kinda crown of thorns in imaginary. But unlike Jesus Christ, Maul is driven by pure revenge and his hate and anger making him indifferent to pain and there is a contempt for death not a willingness to accept it- there is no forgiveness here, he's thinking of ways to kill Dooku and Sidious.

Maul and Revan also form their own army and take on both the Jedi and the Sith in a personal crusade, the Republic and Empire(CIS) which Sidious is both in this timeline in the same suicidal fanatical fashion.

When Ahsoka is given a novel now covering up her fate between TCW-siege of Mandalore and Rebels, wouldn't it be fair to give Maul such a bridge-novel as well? So that we could figure out what happened between that two times to Maul? How he was likely abandoned by the Mandos who seem to turn into staunch imperial henchmen? About how Maul got to Malachor and how he found or was given the holocron? About whose holocron it is? Soo many questions still to answer.

I honestly wish, Joe Schreiber would do that job. Lockdown was fantastic IMHO. :D

The Siege of Mandalore likely would've covered the loss of Mandalore, while I imagine the holocron stuff will be explored more in Rebels season 3.

Fixed! :) I know that the Ahsoka novel will not cover the Siege of Mandalore. So if a Maul-novel will appear, I don't expect something concerning this event either.

Jedi Knight Fett: You are repeating yourself in various threads, that you are astounded that they are revived after a long time. And your statements always have that pending tone of criticism. While you don't contribute something useful. Even a mod warned you about it. Can't you just stop that and let the threads go without butting in that suspicious?

    Thank you!

Sudooku No need to antagonize him. Necroing threads all the time is worse than pointing out said necroing. That said, JKF you're technically spamming with those types of comments.

Anyway, I'd say Maul's inclusion in Rebels has rendered this thread both redundant and obsolete, so locking. ;)
