Pre- 2024 Announcements:

Hello everyone, these are just a few brief announcements before we head into the new year!

First off, krayt dragon-sized congrats to all our writers who have participated this year! It's not 2024 yet, so I can't give a full list of all completed diaries eligible for voting. But suffice it to say, we've seen a great set of 2023 diaries that have been finished and are hoping for more before these last few days of 2023 are over. (If that's you and your diary needs a few updates still, we're rooting for you. You can do it! )

Second, we'd like to invite everyone to share about their upcoming diary projects if you wish. We used to start this earlier in December and have missed out on it a couple times, but the brainstorming and such can be a really great part of the fun of this challenge. You're welcome to discuss and get inspired about new plans for 2024 here. (Just keep it under novel-length! )

Third, just a quick reminder that you have until the 1st of January, 2024 in your timezone to finish up your 2023 full-year or July-December diaries. And also a heads-up that voting announcements will be here in the new year, as voting now runs through the end of January.

 

Happy wriggles! I'm going to do 2 half-marathons for NSWFF.

If they demand it, they might extend to full year length eventually, but so far the plan is just for six months.

1. A LOTR diary featuring Arwen.

2. A "Virgin Queen" diary with Queen Elizabeth I.

 

I didn't think I would participate in this, but I might try a half year diary of one of the Companions in Stray that's an Outsider (Clementine) of what life was like in Walled City 99 and how exactly the Outsiders came to be just prior to the cat falling into their city. Just completed the game, and am now playing through it for the second time (perhaps I can locate all the music sheets to get the music badge this time around).

I am planning to do two. Both will have cats in them and will connect at some time and divert again
