what if Yoda years are different from Standard years? Like maybe 50 Yoda years are like 6 months Coruscant time

alternately, maybe telling them the target was 50 was a way to get them to do the job. Like, if you hired someone to kill a baby they would probably say no, but a 50 year old is different?

anyway hopefully they don't stretch this plot out for 7 seasons like the White Walkers on Game of Thrones.

 

I've been reading people's conviction that Yoda species are all Force sensitive and wise and strong in the Force and yadda yadda yodda.

Any official source? Any canon? We have only seen 2 representatives of their species, and we know nothing about one of them and very little about the other one.

This conviction can only lead to suffering. Headcanon will make people very disappointed if they somehoe discover in the future that not all Yoda species members are Force sensitive or wise or anything of the sort. I personally will wait and see what they show us. If anything at all.

 

Why else would the empire want it. Long life? There are other species that have that

 

I'm not referring to the individual shown in the episode, but to the species in general. The individual is most probably Force sensitive, since 50 years is more than enough time to have established that. It's not just the Empire that wants it. Apparently there is something special about that specific baby. That doesn't mean all of its species should be the same.

 

I can understand that I think people extrapolate that the only two we see being force sensitive means the whole species is

 

I mean, the other digits in the bounty code were probably name and species, which they don’t have.

 

How about we call it a "Yodeling"?

 

No reason why they couldn't have had a roll in the swamp. However others have noticed some evidence that points to cloning. Maybe the Imperials are looking to gather & harvest (sorry, I'm going to say it) midichlorians. Some time into the future they'll be used in an experiment to recreate the Emperor, and/or to create a young female Force prodigy.

 

The Asset is a mutated clone that turns into Snoke! Dah!

Now see that would actually be pretty interesting. We could follow Baby Yoda into the distant future where he/she's a Jedi Master in the New Jedi Order. Not in this series obviously but in a future film or TV series.
