Give it time. I'd imagine each figure will get their folded wings accessory at some point.

 

Yeah I would rather not have to pay extra for that. Especially if I have to get another figure, which I have no space for. I was hoping Neca learned their lesson by the time Coldstone's design was formalized and would make them collapsible since they're mechanical and have hinges like the Steel Clan wings.

 

You can do what I did with Xanatos for Demona's folded wings, and just sell it on eBay; minus the included accessory.

Btw it's cool they gave the figure the 'Frankenstein' look that Greg Weisman wanted but the cartoon design lacked. In the show you can't tell he's supposed to be made up of different Gargoyle parts, just by looking at him.

At this point, not sure if their Coldstone design is final that they showed recently, but IIRC, in the cartoon his wings retracted on a hinge so maybe that's incorporated in NECA's design?

 

I was wondering on what Gabriel's accessory might be. There's likely that strong possibility that he'd come with a baby and egg like Angela did, but there's also a slight possibility that he'd come with her folded wings. Considering we would have the babies available, it's almost a forgone conclusion that both Princess Catherine and Tom will be available at some point. Maybe they would be in a special two-pack that would include both Angela and Gabriel's folded wings.

They should get Meghan Markle to play Elisa Maza. I would say Rosario Dawson as another option but I think she is tired of comic/cartoon franchises with a bunch of CGI.

 

I'm just curious to see how they'd feature the Gargoyles characters in the first place. If it's crappy costumes and masks like they have in the LA Star Wars shows, I'd be less than enthusiastic about it. I think some good CGI blended in with the human characters could work. Many of the original VA could even reprise their roles in that regard; though Ed Asner as Hudson is very big shoes to fill

I'll take this as news that it's being being discussed and possibly development as begun.

Comics update:
There was an unknown delay between the release of Gargoyles #10 and #11. Hopefully things are back on track as Gargoyles #11 comes out today. The Trade Paperback collecting issues #1-6 of the main story is slated to come out later this month as well Dark Ages #5 (Jan 24th). Issue 12 will be the FINAL ISSUE of this series but it will also serve as the prelude to a new adventure.

That new adventure is called "Gargoyles Quest" which will hopefully be starting its run this February!

NECA Gargoyles update:
During the 12 Days of Downloads for 2023, NECA released a new checklist, which included all the same items from last year as well as the new editions like Elisa, Broadway (Silver Falcon edition), and the Goliath/Demona "Vows" two pack. Not pictured in the checklist, but featured at the 2023 NY Toy Fair were Macbeth and Gabriel.

Movie update:
No new update since the Variety article from October. Hopefully to hear some new news as the year progresses.

 

I haven't bought any of the comics since the first issue came out with Angela on the cover. I've been holding out for the Graphic novel, of which I have on my Amazon Wish List.

 

Gargoyles Trades Kickerstarter project


Marvel is cool to have but not canon. The two SLG volumes are canon and the official season 4 of the series.
Personally, I backed all 3 HC trades.

 

Best Buy has just put up the NECA Vows Ultimate Action Figures of Goliath and Demona for pre-order. I'm not interested in the full set itself, really; but I certainly wouldn't mind getting a hold of those new faces for Demona. I'd assume it would fit the individual figure that was already released.

 

I don't know why, but they took it down.

 

Ugh that's strange. At least the pictures still work.

 

The link is back up for the Vows 2 pack and it's available March 6th for pick up at store or free shipping so I grabbed one.

 

If you already have both Goliath and Demona, what would you do with the newer figures?
