Does anyone collect the Toy Biz Lord of the Rings Firgures here?

The problem with the nine-pack is that Gandalf the Grey had an elf-cloak and he doesn't get that until he is Gandalf the White.


I just got the new Helm's Deep Aragorn! Finally an Aragorn that has his Elvish Dagger!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

They have the 9 figure gift pack at amazon.com for $40. No picture though, but it says all 9 of the fellowship with ring and map. I'd find out more before buying it but i think its the genuine article.

 

At $40, I wish I'd waited and bought that, I spent a small fortune developing a collection of Fellowship members!

I suppose it depends on the quality of the figures in the pack though, they looked okay, but the real test is when they're out of the box.

And speaking of small fortunes, I couldn't bring myself to stop at Fellowship members!

 

i know what your saying ganner. I was just going to collect the fellowship but i got some other figures as part of the delux sets now i have almost 30.

any way i was foundering if anyone knew when the next waves are comming out. The gollum toy doesn't come out till june me thinks. I want to hit the targets and walmarts as soon as they are released.

 

Gollum looks great, he's a bendem, but apparently it works well.

 

Just fyi: the nine pak of the fellowship is a limited run of only 5000(I think) and half those are with clothe robes and the rest with plastic. Also the newest wave hit stores around here this week. I picked up the new ringwraith, moria orc, uglik, and grishank.

Sith-Blade, I heard that the Ringwraith was the one from the deluxe horse set, and Ugluk, Grishnakh and the Moria Orc figures were previously released with Merry and/or Pippin, just given single figure repackagings. Is there any difference, do you know, to their previous releases?

 

Yes sadly the new wave is all repackaging of the elf archer, merry, pippin, twin packs. Is the gollum wave out where you guys are from. I've seen it on ebay but here in Tx I have not seen anything from that wave.

 

As far as I know the Gollum wave won't hit shelves until June.

 

Today I found abunch of the new wave in a kb in my mall. I picked up a Gladeral, frodo with light up sword, twlight ring wraith, helms deep aragorn, merry and pippin two pak, prolog elf warrior, and more of the repack line.

I've seen all those except Galadriel.

 

I saw the new series 5 last night, picked up Berserker Uruk.

 

I got the Helm's Deep Aragorn a while back, I tend not to get multiples of the same character, but I now have 3 Aragorns. He's my fave character, and I really couldn't pass at the chance for an Aragorn with his Elvish dagger.

Otherwise, seen Merry/Pippin, new Frodo, and Prolog Elf, but no Galadriel yet. But this is the UK so I'm not surprised.



On a slightly different note, which one figure from both the Fellowship and Towers lines is everyones favourite?

If any of you have the fellowship of the ring nine pack do they come with all their weapons from the single packs?

 

Is it just me or is Toy Biz one of the crappies toy company in terms of sculping figures?
Sure they can RealScan the actors but if
there`s an actor which isn`t able to be Scanned because of short time ( like Chris Lee and Ian McKellen for FotR figures were ) the result are the ugliest likenesses you can get.

Now what`s up with Toy Biz not being
able to do a Arragon / Strider with good
likeness?

 

Have they discontinued FOTR Legolas(or all FOTR for that matter)?

 

Not sure, I've recently been seeing new figures lately. Saw Galadriel, Prologue Elven Warrior and Twighlight Ringwraith last night. Also saw Helm's Deep Aragorn, TTT Frodo and some others I've already seen.

 

I got the prologue elven warrior. He's one sweet figure, except for the expression on his face. It looks like it says "Oh dear, more fighting? I really am tired of fighting, since it is so boring. And these orcs are just nasty little creatures!" in a very royal british accent.

But he's still cool. I just wish he were more... ferocious.

 

When is Helm's Deep Legolas coming out?

And sorry if I'm missing something here, but why is Twighlight Ringwraith and Prologue Elven Warrior coming out in a TTT wave?

 

if you look on the packaging, where it says "The Two Towers" it says Fellowship of the Ring

its just something they did *shrugs

 

I was never really interested in these before, but I saw Gandalf the White the other day and decided to pick it up. Not a bad figure, Toybiz has really improved from what I remember, I might have to pick up a few more of these figures.

 

I have Frodo with light-up Sting(what are they waiting to do that with Jedi actions figures lightsabers?), Helm's Deep Aragorn(the best Aragorn yet!) and Legolas with Rohan Armor. I wanted to buy Gollum last week, but the only package left has a kind of lame paint job and looked nothing like the pic on the package, so I didnt buy it...

I almost forgot, I also own the One Ring! The one with a light-up Mount Doom base...
