Geez, he's just away at some conventions for a few days. Are you guys going to be okay? :D

Anyway...according to Sir Steve's Guide, while at MegaCon Mr. Mayhew said he MIGHT BE IN EPISODE III, according to recent conversations he had with Lucas.

Cool news, eh? Maybe Peter can confirm or deny this for us when he gets back.

keokiswahine (please tell us what your name means), ;)

I'm certain you are correct about Lucas' reasoning with the secrecy irt script.

Personally I think this hurts him more than helps as it surpresses the actors potential with their role. It's much easier to develop your character if you understand the full scope of the story and not just your own scenes. Terrence Stamp and Hugh Quarshie have both itterated this plainly, and I'm sure others would agree.

I hope that Peter will still answer my question about if Lucas was equally secretive with the Original Trilogy. I'm curious to know how much of the story the original cast was allowed to know about, and if it hampored their ability to develop their characters (if so it surely doesn't show). :)

I'm not sure what the actors thought about it, but I know for sure that for ROTJ the actors were given only the portions of the script they were involved in. Jedi was the most secretive of the productions because everyone was anxious to see how the plot lines from ESB would be resolved.

For those of you who didn't know, Lucasfilm was actually masquerading ROTJ as a horror film called "Blue Harvest" to ward off prying fans!

Technically Mr. Mayhew it would be his first apperhence not him coming back. Sorry had to say that. Personally I love Chewie. Best scene in ANH is when Han tells 3PO about how when a wookie loses he pulls arms off, and you put your hands behind yoru head and smiled. GENIUS pure and good

Hi Guys, returned at 2:00 a.m. this morning, had a whirlwind trip to New York but had such a great time I didn't notice the long hours. We picked up Oscar T. Wonderdog from the Pampered Pet's kennel this morning. He is wearing an Irish bandana in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Cuthbert the kitty cat was here at home to guard the house, she's a great watch kitty. Ha! Angie and I were in Orlando last week and Universal Studios sent us complimentary passes to the park. We had a wonderful time but wore ourselves out walking and had to deal with sore legs for a couple of days. Loved the Hulk roller coaster...it was cool. I think Angie's favorite was Dr. Seuss Land. It was so nice to return and see that people have been continuing to post while I was away. I hope all of the people who I met at the conventions had a good time, I know I did.

First, it's great to be back and reading your posts again. It's still so much fun. What a great group we have!! I understand that David Prowse is out of the hospital and on the mend. We were very relieved to hear that and hope that he continues to improve daily.
As to the matter of the scripts. The original Star Wars script was given to, I suppose, all of the cast. I still have mine and it is intact. After that, things got a bit dodgy with security leaks and we only got what we needed. I think that I have more of my Empire script than my Jedi script. For what it's worth, that's what I know about it.

Hmmm, ok, let me see if I can be very specific about what I know about my involvement with Episode III. The answer would be....I don't know anything about it and have not spoken to Lucasfilm about it. Of course, with security, I couldn't say so if I did know, but I really don't. The percentage of fans who ask me that question when I meet them is now approaching 100% though and what I tell them is...."there's a posibility"...because there is. There are questions that could be answered in the storyline, but I don't know what George has in mind. I suppose someone could get on to Steve Sansweet and ask him...he's in charge of Fan Liason and is emailable (is that a word?) from the Lucas Star Wars site. I would, of course, like to see it happen and I get the feeling that there are a lot of fans who would like it too. Afterall, he's only a wookiee....what do I know?

I am a fan in Atlanta Georgia. I know you attended DragonCon 1998. Will you be making the trip to Georgia to attend DragonCon 2001??

I remember talking to you in 98 and really enjoyed it. Now, with the popularity of the new movie and the fact that we will get to know more about your character in the next movie it would be wonderful to have you back again. I know Anthony Daniels, Richard Parmentier, Jeremy Bulloch and Steve Sansweet will be there this year, to name a few. I hope you will be able to make it this year as well...
