Maybe, but the open scripts in the pic are all over the place, and I'm assuming this is early in the reading.

That's a good point! There might be a Big Three, (particularly in the OT), but there are many other important characters too. In Episode VII, there will be a LOT of characters. Not only will we have these new ones, but we'll have the Original Big Three, plus, of course, the droids!

It's too bad that poster Ali Arikan, I think? isn't still around. I'd like to get his take on which of the new actors might be playing which roles. I'm particularly interested in hearing who he thinks Gleeson will play.

True, true. But I don't imagine Abrams and Kennedy released the photo without understanding it was going to be under INTENSE scrutiny. They might very well just be messing with us. ;)

I think obsessive Star Wars films often give the people making the films too much credit for being as obsessive as they are. ;)

Not obsessed as in fans, but is J.J. Abrams obsessed with his 'Mystery Box'? Is Kathleen Kennedy obsessed with carefully managing the massive investment in her company? You could say so.
I'm not saying there's any huge significance to anything in the picture, in fact I might be saying the opposite. They're unlikely to have accidentally given anything away that they were planning to put out as big news later. (Chewbacca photobombs aside.)

My guess is that people just sat where they sat, for which there could have been a variety of reasons that could in some cases but didn't necessarily include having anything to do with their character interactions, and someone took the picture. I seriously doubt they were organized in any specific way just for the purposes of the photograph.

I have no doubt he is Luke's force sensitive son who avoided going into the "family business" out of shame for being related to his grandfather and all the crap he did. Of course the call to adventure will be that he will have to embrace and accept his lineage (for good and bad) and become a Jedi. I just hope Luke doesn't have to die Obi-Wan style to pass the torch. Don't really want to see Luke die though it probably makes dramatic sense (but in this episode or Ep 9?)

Dom has just been on the Paul O Grady show in the UK. Very likeable guy I thought but as suspected he didn't give ANYTHING away with regard episode 7. Does look like he's growing a beard though and must say that I didn't get a Skywalker vibe from him at all. He does look like a young Obi Wan though.

Latino Review Star Wars 7 Casting Speculation
    http://www.latino-review.com/news/s7ar-wars-the-legacy-and-some-fassbender
    Who knows if true?
According to them Gleeson is playing Luke's son.
    They also mention this:
Contracts are being flung, production is spinning up and somewhere on the Pinewood Studios lot, Domhnall Gleeson and John Boyega are playing with lightsabers,

Not that I don't agree with this, but all it is, is speculation.

While I believe that Gleeson is probably playing Luke's son; I think that quote, in context, is merely being playful.

Its far better to have fun with this speculation frenzy than getting frustrated because this or that doesn't appeal to peoples expectations.

You should tell that to almost everybody on this forum.
Ex: I feel like if Ridley is not a Solo, some people will be really annoyed.

I don´t think Latino Review is saying anything new at all. They are just basing their specualtions of the round table and where the actors sat back then. Which makes sense because in most SW movies we have seen several plots and small groups of actors that have much more scenes together than with the other ones. As I did back when we first saw the pic, they see pretty clear that the Solo family is there as a group (Han, Leia, Ridley and Chewie). Then we have Skywalker family, with Luke, the droids and Glesson. And then the group of Isaac, Boyega, and Driver, with Serkis in the middle of the Skywalker family and the other group.

One thing I wonder is if Isaac is a bad guy, or a good one. We could have our new trio on Boyega, Ridley and Gleeson. And we just know that Driver is one bad guy, so maybe Isaac could be an imperial. That being said, the weridest thing to me is that Boyega is not with Luke. They are far from each other, which makes me think Boyega is not going to be too related to Luke on the movie.

Latino Review did speculate that Boyega is more of a Han Solo, basically he gets entangled in the Skywalker/Solo affair. As for Isaac he could be as you said the 40 year old Imperial they were looking for in the casting call, but 5 years younger.
I’d peg Boyega as the Han Solo of this installment, getting caught up in Skywalker/Solo family business while serving a new form of Galactic Government.

Latino Review has been claiming the Skywalker son was going to be one of the leads since last summer. I wouldn´t mind at all having Boyega on the Han Solo role of the ST, but that leaves Isaac on a limbo. Who is he going to play? Is he part of the good guys? And, if Boyega is next to the bad guy of the movie, why should he be one of the heroes?

Don't know, but to me Isaac suits better a villain/antihero type than a hero.

What I am expecting right now is 3 different arcs, involving the three groups we see on the round table. We will see their stories merge, probably with the death of one member of each group, and with a new lead from each one as well.

I think Luke, Han, and Boyega/Isaac die, and Gleeson, Ridley and Boyega/Isaac will be the new leads.
