Rogue One Dr Evazan and Ponda Baba in Rogue One

I don't know why people are complaining, this was a fun and upbeat cameo! I really enjoyed seeing these two and hearing Evazan'sfamous line.

About R2 and Threepio being in the movie... they have to be in every movie. It's tradition. Period.

 

How the heck are they going to be in Han Solo?

 

Not a clue... The Han Solo movie for me is nothing short of blasphemy. Han Solo is Harrison Ford; how they'll pull any of it off is a mystery.

 

I liked the cameo. These two are just drawn to trouble. Though it's funny they were at a Jedi holy site only to be diced by a Jedi at their next stop

 

I think Evazan and Ponda Baba should've been in Han Solo film instead. Personally I would've loved to see cameo of any other cantina patron more.

 

They did not belong in this movie.
I loved Rogue One and I loved the prequels...but these two humps showing up with recycled dialogue is EXACTLY the type of thing George would do, and get shredded for. I am really surprised the new brain trust let this go. I understand doing these things in the cartoons, but not the films.

 

They were unnecessary IMO. The film didn't need them and could stand on its own without forcing in a cameo for the sake of it. These were my low point of the film.

 

I thought they were unnecessary in the film, but I enjoyed their backstory as mapped out in hints in the visual guide. Basically Evazan has been on Jedha performing illegal surgery on people - including the Decraniated and that guy in the Jedha BTS footage with no head and his guts exposed. There is a very cool Fett-esque bounty hunter tracking them down.

 

dude....when Dr.Evasan appeared, I was like "!!!!LOLOLOL!!!!". They could've rolled credits and the movie still would've gotten top marks.

 

Same here. These cameos made me grin.

 

A funny cameo and a great tribute to the original film. It was a great surprise.
