WWII would still happen. Only it would be the Soviet Union aiding China to repel the invasion by Imperial Japan.
Pearl Harbor would have still been attacked drawing the USA into the war, though only much much later, given our oil embargo with the Japanese in protest of the China invasion.

France would have been drawn into the fold as well, sending support to Indochina.

By war's end, all of Korea would be under Soviet control, the south Pacific would be under US control, and Japan would be a bargaining chip between the east and west, just as Germany had been following WWII.

EDIT -- Not to mention Mussolini still in power in Italy, and his land grab for Africa.

 

I'd settle for simply being able to view past events. Being able to see pictures of the pyramids of ancient Egypt in their prime, the Sphinx before it was damaged, etc... that would really be something.

 

Changing the past could affect the balance of the world in ways we can't imagine.

US technological supremacy after WW2 was in part largely down to them bringing all the German scientists over to aid American projects & development. Some of the Nazi designs were very advanced for the time even if most never got made, they were even apparently working on anti-gravity devices. If the US didn't take such steps as a result of WW2 not happening, maybe Germany or Japan would be the superpower...

Also, Britain's dependance on overseas supplies was targeted by Germany during the war, it led to Britain beoming much more self-sufficient in terms of having much more farming. Would such a thing have happened without WW2? I doubt it would have happened as soon as it did.
