He actually meant to say "Train the boy to properly file his taxes on time." Obi-Wan's failure to realize he was just talking about teaching Anakin to use TurboTax arguably doomed the galaxy. A modern tragedy of Shakespearean dimensions.

Obi-wan: Because if you do trust Padme, there's no reason you can't keep that $35,000!
    Anakin: What did you say?
    Obi-wan: $35,000.
    Anakin: $35,000?
    Obi-wan: All of it.
    Anakin: All of it?
    Obi-wan: Every credit.
Anakin: You better start making sense.
Obi-wan: If you want to keep all of those credits, give it to Padme. The Republic allows a one-time-only gift to your spouse for up to $60,000.
    Anakin: ********! Tax free?
Obi-wan: Tax free. The Republic can't touch one credit.

Good last episode of the Mandalorian BTS show.
Impressive the amount of references they included.
I didn't know that they actually had EV 9D9 & R5 D4 from the movies in the Tatooine episode, not simply droids that look the same (R5 even had scorch marks from the bad motivator blowout in ANH on the back of its head).

Nice to get the 501st come in for the end scene with all the stormtroopers.
Though given the recent scandal inside the organisation (newly elected leader tried to expose corruption in the UK Garrison, was then removed in a secret meeting without members being notified) they might not be in favour down the line if they can't get a handle on internal issues.
Disney doesn't like that kind of thing

Not being paid doesn't mean they aren't an actual organisation.
Many charities are non-profit & run by volunteers

The UKG was accused of misappropriating charitable funds. Supposedly there was some evidence that the high-ups had up to $4million in accounts somewhere they'd accumulated through dodgy means.
Instead of defend & explain this (which would be easy if it was legit), UKG accused the LCO of bullying & she was then removed in a secret meeting after being accused of breaking Legion rules.

Whole thing stinks of a cover-up. UKG apparently has a lot of people in influential senior positions in the 501st so they can protect themselves against scrutiny.

I can't say I'm that surprised. I know many fine individuals within Rebel Legion & 501st but bullying, harassment & elitism is rife throughout those groups according to many people I talk to.
    It's why I never joined.

Ok, but if was for kids why the dull political procedures, & people cut in half or burned alive, & all of that kiddie murder? Always seemed to me that the target audience was muddled & all over the place. A better, & more concise answer from Johnson would've been "Natalie Portman looked hot".

you weren’t the target audience tho, the target audience loved watching a movie that didn’t condescend or talk down to them, and challenged what they were capable of understanding. One of the reasons I loved TPM was because of the elements I didn’t quite understand or had to think about (at age 7)

Maybe I wasn’t, but if it was for 7 yr olds what was with the bisections, immolations & infanticide? Mixed together with puerile slapstick & toilet humour. Apart from the PT it’s very easy to see who the other movies were aimed at.

Good ol' fashioned, family friendly body horror.

(And I was the target audience for these movies when they came out, and I still think they suck.)

I like that the only target audience was kids.

And that existing SW fans were not the target audience.

But I like many absurd notions.
