Saga Episode titles that can apply to other films

The Phantom Menace: also applies to AOTC, ROTS, and TROS since Palpatine is a phantom menace in those also. And could apply to TFA as well for Snoke and the First Order.

Attack of the Clones: Also applies to ROTS for Order 66, to TFA and TLJ for Snoke, to TROS for Palpatine. (Assuming cloning was apart of his reanimation)

Revenge of the Sith: Also applies to any of the PT due to Palpatine's unraveling plan, as well as any of the ST for basically the same reason.

A New Hope: Applies to TPM for Qui-Gon finding a new hope in Anakin, as well as to TFA for Rey. And maybe ROTJ and TROS in relation to their victories. And TLJ for Luke's return.

The Empire Strikes Back: Applies to any of the ST for the First Order.

Return of the Jedi: Applies to TLJ for Luke's return at the end, and to TROS for the Jedi spirits in Rey.

The Force Awakens: Applies to TPM and ANH for Anakin and Luke awakening to their respective power in the Force. And maybe to TROS for Finn realizing his own connection to the Force.

The Last Jedi: Applies to ESB, ROTJ, TFA, and TROS, for obvious reasons.

The Rise of Skywalker: Applies to TPM, ANH, ROTJ, and TLJ for obvious reasons. And maybe TFA also since Rey has adopted the name.

 

So, if I were to retitle them all:

I - The Force Awakens
II - The Rise of Skywalker
III - Attack of the Clones
IV - Return of the Jedi
V - Revenge of the Sith
VI - The Last Jedi
VII - The Phantom Menace
VIII - A New Hope
IX - The Empire Strikes Back

I: The Force Awakens, The Rise of Skywalker, A New Hope, Revenge of the Sith
II: The Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith
III: The Last Jedi, Attack of the Clones, The Phantom Menace
IV: The Force Awakens, The Rise of Skywalker, Return of the Jedi
V: Revenge of the Sith, The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, Return of the Jedi
VI: The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, A New Hope
VII: A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, The Empire Strikes Back

AOTC is the only title you can use for II and III really.

What he said. I can't even think a better order than this, maybe only swap TPM with ANH, as Rey being the New Hope while Phantom Menace (Snoke) applies for both.

The only addiction I say is Rogue One could also be called A New Hope, after all, a minor crew of Rebels (Rejected by the own major Rebels) were the hope to take the Death Star Plans and make the OT happen. Otherwise, I guess the story would have ended by there and the Empire wins.
But then, RO can't be swapped with any other movie. Solo then, much less.
