My favorite RTS is Rise of Nations, in large part because it lets me tweak settings so I don't have to micromanage boring **** like resources. I don't like Star/Warcraft and their clones.

 

I still play Rise of Nations too, but ES got me interested in AoE 2 again now. Another decade-old game.

How can you tweak settings so you don't have to micromanage boring **** like resources? The only thing I micromanage is "no nukes". Hate nukes.

I cannot believe it is not on Steam. I lost my copy and doubt it would work anymore anyway.

We actually had Test of Time. The fantasy campaign was a lot of fun. I've been dying to replay it for a long time, but I don't have a platform to run it even if I did buy one online.

 

I had a great Cold War mod for it. Basically simulated Red Storm Rising.

I can't do top five games of all time so I'll do 10 and limit one game per franchise and no Star Wars.

thats the one. you had to do some sort of weird trading game with different podracers or something. and you got a sweet machine gun that shot blue lasers so why would you use any other gun obviously

You guys though. You forget in the early levels as Obi-Wan you could just slaughter gungans.
