I've never played either of the Alan Wake games, but I did play through Control.

This sounds like the changes make sense and I'm am optimistic for it.


I'm off now to play Civ 6

 

God, Control had such obvious loose ends that I thought a DLC would be addressing them. I don't want to wait a whole development cycle!

 

We need some Dr. Darling music videos to tide us over, at least.

 

I suspect the upcoming second Alan Wake 2 DLC, which is set around a Dept of Control compound outside of Bright Falls, might provide a hint or two.

 

One of my favorite moments watching this show was when I was watching season 1 and the finale's opening, instead of ending with "The Truth is Out There" it ended with "Trust No One" and I was like stuff is about to go down

 

The two X-Files video games were actually pretty fun, as well - both had the main cast and a number of support characters contributing.

 

Devil May Cry 3 & 5 were pretty fun, purchased Dragon's Dogma 2 back in March but never got around to actually playing it. Interested to see what he does next.

Well, I played Callisto Protocol, a game I was looking forward to at one point, for free via Epic Games, and found it a boring slog.

I made in to the final boss, but I'm... just not invested in finishing, completionist as I am.

 

Man that was fast, it’s been out for less than two weeks.

 

Da-amn, is that a record?

 

Has to be some kind of achievement.

Hopefully this turns Sony away from live service development

At least everyone is getting a refund rather than just letting it be an utter flop and leaving the players high and dry with a crap game that no one plays

Just learned that Concord was one of the games that was going to be featured in that Amazon anthology series. Wonder what’s going to happen on that front.

Astrobot release is tomorrow and it's coming in with high praise apparently.


Which is good as I really enjoyed the freebie with the PS5 and I pre ordered ages ago.

I now have no idea what to play tomorrow as I've still now managed to start Outlaws.

 

Yeah a ton of praise for Astrobot. I'm stoked to play it eventually.

 

So...why do you we need an PS5 Pro? The PS4 Pro made some sense in that the OG PS4 came out at time when 4K TV's weren't quiet a big thing yet but then very quickly DID become a big thing so Sony rushed out the PS4 Pro to at least in theory take advantage of what 4K TVs had to offer. The PS5 Pro on the other hand, I don't get the appeal. Sony is of course doing it to try and make money off of the people who always need the newest, latest, and best but I can't imagine that's a big audience. I recently heard that something like 40% of the people that own a Playstation are still playing on a PS4. Seems odd to then release as PS5 Pro.

 

If they actually announce one they’ll make the hypothetical argument for it; I didn’t see the personal case for the PS4 Pro and never bought one.

In any case Castlevania Dominus Collection has inspired me to replay all of the goo- er, 2D titles in the franchise so I won’t need much graphical power for a while anyway.
