[FAQ] We're NOT moving

Okay, for those that seem to feel the need to post "Are we there yet" every week or so, stop and think for a second. Don't you think that those of us that have put literally hundreds of hours into getting the new set of board software set up to what is required aren't a hell of a lot more eager to have things finished with? Yet we can sit here and wait out the time required.

We want to move. We'd love to move. But until things are sorted properly with IGN and timing, we have to wait. Patiently.

 

Nicely said, Dingo.

 

I'm just joking when I say something like that but all I ask for is that the first post be updated so that we're all up to speed.

Otherwise it is an annoyance to those of us that have been involved in the establishing of the board software and feel obligated to answer any of the questions that people have about it to click on this thread every day and find nothing but "are we there yet" posts. It is nothing but pure spamming.

 

Wow, I just spent at least an hour exploring the link you provided. I miss the old JC, and the old 3SA. And Grilled-Sarlacc was still a 3SA mod!

 

That link just brings me back to the regular tfn.

 

I'm exploring Flare's link as well. I loved Carmen's colors.

 

it;s like when i stared posting, back when 3SA was a pretty small world and we knew virtually nothing about ROTS, not even the title even though quite a few correctly guessed it

Dingo, perhaps if there wasn't a rush to announce the move in like Febuary, and also stating that we would be moving way before the release of ROTS, then people wouldn't be asking the unholy "Are we there yet" question.

Not that it was you that announced it, but it was made a really big deal several months ago, and it was implied that it would be a move short in the making.

That's why some are asking, of course some are just being jerks.

 

Perhaps the misconception is that the administration at TFN is preventing the move. This is not true - IGN is holding us back and we are waiting on them.

So just for the record TFN will let us know as soon as they know more and no we have not moved yet.

This isn't aimed at anyone specifically but perhaps it will help prevent others from asking the same thing over and over.

Yeah, if you read or remembered the events correctly, you'd know that TF.N's (or Wise's) contract with IGN supposedly expired in March. Everything we said was always the truth at the time we were saying it. March would have been enough time before RotS and would have been "soon" and "rather weeks, than months" as had been said.

The TF.N side was ready to move pretty soon (setting up the new boards mostly). IGN just didn't give us the most important thing yet - the database.

It's neither our fault nor our intention that Teh Move became such a huge dumb joke.


Maybe this could be locked? Seeing how nothing important can be said in here anymore? Sape? Kimball? PMs?? right...

 

hhhmmmmm.....This past March seems to be indicated as an end point in time,
and the move is because staying will cost more,

Is the new higher rate being charged while waiting to move?
