Travel kits are a must especially when they don't take up much space and TSA approved.
With all the traveling I do throughout the year I have to purchase full size products.
I drive 98% to all the events and fly only when necessary., which is rare. Taking a train this time though.
And since I don't shave and can't use roll-on deodorants I substitute cologne, mouth-
wash, aerosol spray (deodorant) and other necessities.

Great advice! I'm going to try to pack lighter this time, esp. with the clear plastic bag policy. I hope I can get the shopping done on Thurs. and sent out the same day. but, someone is always showing up with new goodies that you must have! I 'm not going to many of the Arena events ,but will be prepared for the 2 I'd like to attend(hope they have a storage space for fan items, not a dinky coat check!)

My personal favorite item to pack are those moist baby wipes. They are a godsend for a
quick freshening up. I found them useful when I was a clown. Those wipes removed makeup
perfectly and any underarm scents. I love em'. They'll be in my stadium bag for sure.

Just ordered the stadium bag, yes, baby wipes are essential, we used to send them to our son when he was in the middle East. I use them on the aircraft too, you never know what germs linger about!

This will be my first Celebration as well, and I had a question about autographs and photos. What’s the best way to go about protecting them after you purchase them? I assumed having some sort of binder on hand would be really helpful so I could just slide my stuff in there without any issues. (For reference, I’m planning on buying one or two autographs at the Topps booth, and I’m also getting autographs and photo ops with Billy Dee Williams and Ray Park.) My plan was to at least buy the autographs I want from Topps on Thursday since it’ll be the least hectic day, but I still have the photo ops/autograph sessions where I’ll need to protect my stuff somehow. Do they sell Celebration autograph binders, am I better off to bring my own, I mean... What would some of you veteran Celebration attendees suggest? Thanks in advance for the help, I really appreciate it!

If you are traveling to Celebration (especially if from overseas) let your bank know so they don't put a freeze on your credit/debit cards thinking the overseas use is fraud. This is especially important if you don't do a lot of travel.

If you are just doing the 8x10s, get an ITOYA for that size. I got mine on amazon. It’s Acid free so you can safely store your autos there without fear of the paper eating your auto and there’s plenty of pages. I just got an 16x20 one but I think I’m going to get an 8x10 as well since my other one is full

    I like Padme501st idea.
Purchasing professional photographers grade of 8X10 page protectors work for me and a small light weight 8X10 notebook to
keep them in for that trip home. If sheets of lens paper is sold in your area, I'd place them over the sigs
to prevent photos from getting scratched. Just an extra precaution. Sigs are like a "fun-fan" investment.

Also, don't forget to let your ink dry before placing them in an itoya or equivalent!

Awesome! Thank you guys all so much for the information, I really appreciate it! :) I’m going to look into this so my autographs are protected!

I just got my ticket for Friday and I am so excited! I was convinced that I wouldn’t be able to go, but I got a bonus and decided to try my luck with Lyte!

Now I am just weighing my options on whether I leave super early Friday morning because I am in Wisconsin which is three and a half hours away or I get a hotel for Thursday night.

@Trev Elyt - we got Ray Park's auto in London 2016 and he took pics with everyone as well. Don't be afraid to ask ;)

    Good luck and enjoy yourself.

You have to be a little afraid to ask with Topps running things. If they see you with a camera out, they could ask you to leave.

That’s really awesome to hear about Ray Park. I’m not super concerned, though. I paid for an autograph and photo op with him, so I’ll be fine either way. :)

    Camera? Lol. :)

Ray was asking people if they wanted pictures so we knew it was ok. He arrived late but was really cool with everyone. I don't think Topps would argue with the celebrity guests. ;)

I wouldn't be so sure. There's a reason Anthony Daniels isn't signing with them this year and Mark had issues with them last time. They have no problems being rude. While they may not tell Ray to sit down, they can go up to you in line and tell you to get out.

In my experience with other cons if selfies aren't offered as part of the cost of the autograph or a separate fee they can't/won't do selfies....something to do with contracts is what I was told.

So after he signed my artwork he got a picture taken with us. We weren't in the line at that point. I've no idea if Topps ran the autos in London 2016 but everyone was getting their picture taken with him at his auto table.

Yep I hear you. I was at a con in Edinburgh in January and we were told Peter Capaldi wouldn't be doing pictures/selfies and was signing only. It was him who insisted on getting pics with people! Much smaller con but good to get a pic with him (and Warwick too). I hope everyone gets what they want in Chicago :)

And Ray has always done that. He even showed up to visit everyone in the overnight queue for the 40th panel and took selfies and did a lightsaber sequence etc. He is a great guy. Unfortunately Topps first Celebration was Orlando so this was after yours. And while I wasn't in his line that year, I was in many others and they were like nothing we were used to. And many other guests weren't too happy throughout those 4 days. We were even told we couldn't shake hands with some guests only to go up to them and the guests themselves reach their hands out and were super friendly. He may be able to do selfies or he may not. Topps is a different beast all together

Wow. Sounds like Topps are a definite step back. Good luck this year.

    And of course he's a great guy - he's Scottish ;)
