I didn't care for the Onagers look but then I kind of like it as a specialist Star Destroyer that's a kind of artillery ship. So like if you need to stop the enemy from escaping, you call in the Interdictor... you need to bombard them from a distance? Call in the Onager.

Honestly, I'm in love with the Starhawk. The design is basically a super beefed up, sized up, and bulked out Neb-B, which is awesome. The aesthetic fits well within the NRDF and would look perfectly at home in the already varied look of the fleet.

That's why I've always preferred the look of the Alliance/NR Navy. Angular, powerful Starhawks alongside curvy, mighty Mon Cala cruisers, mixed with a variety of frigates, corvettes, and gunships.

I would KILL for some official art showing a group of Starhawks and MC85's in orbit over Chandrila. KILL.

Yes, they've been putting out updates every month. They've added a bunch of prequel stuff in large updates over the last 10 months. Felucia is being added sometime later this year.

Pretty sure that's the tractor beam.

Any one do the math on the length of the Nadiri?
Eckhardt on YouTube said that the ISD shield generators on the side near the front could be a good indicator of the size (by using them or the ISD style turbolaser turrets).

Yes, approximately 2167m. Eckhart said 1300-1400, but he's wrong.

Yes, the calculation should be 2165, but the raw numbers were actually a pinch higher.

    Thanks Ton_G.

On another note I'm curious if the shield generators and the SD turrets are in scale with each other. But not really worried about that, just an internal musing.

I think the 41m domes are actually dubious, more like 32m. Which gives a length of 1690m.

Yep. If you literally just take a picture of a Star Destroyer, and scale it to match the domes, the Starhawk is around 100m longer. Obviously none of any of these measurements are really accurate, but around 1700m seems the closest.

Looks like the hangar is in front, given that it is mentioned has having really strong tractor beams, I am wondering if that is not on purpose, so it can just grab lesser vessels and haul them in for boarding actions.

Jesus, that Starhawk looks like it could cleave right through an ISD. As an Imperial, I'd be horrified if I ever saw that 2km battering ram hurtling towards my ship.

I think they were calculated based on the 3 ft Star Destroyer model from ANH rather than the 7 ft Star Destroyer model from TESB. The ANH ISD has slightly bigger domes relative to the ship as a whole.

I suppose we don't know whether the Starhawk has ISD-I or -II domes... ;)

I suspect we'll get a length around 2km. Of course, that still leaves the MC85 much larger.

The FFG ISD is clearly an ISD 2 (cannons, tractor beam array, engines, etc) so it makes sense for them to be using the same component for the Starhawk.

How many of the 25,000 ISDs were ISD1s versus ISD2s? And when did production of the ISD2 begin?

I'm still not quite sure the Starhawk fits the Rebel/New Republic fleet aesthetic (it reminds me of some ships from other scifi franchises) but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Especially with art like that.

Its too bad there's not more focus on the Battle of Jakku. Several sources talk about it and some show it, but I find the Battlefront scenes a bit generic. Its been several years since we heard the Concord dragged the Ravager down with it but its only now that we're getting art. At least the Starhawks showed their strength at Jakku, not like we've ever gotten to see the MC85 do much (except for its suicide ram).

Well the Devastator is said to be the last of the ISD-Is, and it was at Scarif. Presumably by the time of Rogue One the first ISD-IIs are either already in service or in production.

I really like seeing ships that size that are not Imperial Triangles or Mon Cal ships. Don't get me wrong I like both of those ship types....I just like getting more variety.

So...is the release of the Starhawk game piece a tease for the upcoming movie? Will we see Starhawks vs Resrugents??

The space in the front is most definitively the hangar, not a tractor beam. I don't really mind the placement, it reminds me of the Gladiator-class.
Also, are these ion cannons firing at the ISD?
EDIT: just noticed someone had posted the picture before.

Couldn't it be both though? A hangar that the tractor beam stores the ships it snags in?
