You know it would be easier to see the differences if they had given the ships a bit more different colours

Show me one still with port side wings intact, or with one or two missing on Starboard side. Ships kitbashed out of Neb-C cg components do not count as Nebulon-C variations.

Gunships! Or..DP-20re Haulers... At least two, if you can spot them, and many other goodies in addition to those.

Awesome, good eye catching those. They barely have any resemblance to the DP-20. The bridge is clearly inspired by the Consular Cruiser but the body looks like a cilinder with cargo on the sides.

This is great. I'll try to make quick simple 3D models of each of these variations to have a better idea of what these look like

Yeah, if they all look that and aren't kitbashes of each other, I guess that what we (I?) thought was a big-ass engine block way to the aft was actually some cargo pods directly behind the bridge.

Interesting! :D As @FiveFireRings says, this is very different design when seen from the side, a new configuration - I like the way that the "keel" section drops below the lower edge of the pods (a detail which wasn't as obvious from the front), because that looks like that section might contain landing struts and boarding access.

But I also like the circular details on the sides of the command pod and the way that the cargo pods form rectangular side panels flanking the aft section - those parts seem to look back to details of the original Joe Johnson gunship sketches in concept art for ANH, and reinterpret them in a way that has a completely different effect while remaining a homage.

Now I'm very curious what the central hull looks like... :D

I mean, I'm pretty sure this is a freighter of some sort, but maybe those are sensor arrays and this is an Agave-class picket? :p

Good points, but at the same time, man do I love that sketch, and after so very many near misses, it would be great to finally see exactly that onscreen. I'm about done with side notes that everything is a repurposing of this or that OT concept art, it's just that this is kind of the Granddaddy of all Unused Onscreen Concept Art to the point where it's iconic on its own... to me anyway!

Andrew Hodgson shared this new VFX reel video, where you can see one shot of the battle of Exegol that is longer than the one in the movie, where you can see several more U-Wings, Gauntlet Fighters, Quadjumper aaaaaand.... the Fireball, Blue Ace and Yeager's racer in there. Unfortunately this shot was cut from the movie.

Some new VFX shots, including one of the big, flat Mon Cal at 3:05.

Exegol is confirmed to have 1,080 Star Destroyers vs. 16,000 ships of the Galaxy Fleet. Endor, eat your heart out. :p

See? That actually makes sense. Unlike Endor with its ~15 Calamari cruisers vs 33 ISDs.

And if anything it's a bit too unbalanced on the other side, considering the Xystons can be taken down by a single proton torpedo shot at the ventral cannon.

I'd say about half of that 16,000, maybe more, would be like fighters and 30-ish meter sized freighters.

The number of TIE Daggers they could launch are also a thing of course.

    16,000 vs 1,080 though.

I’m really impressed by the amount both sides fielded. 1,080 two thousand, four hundred metre battlecruisers is beautiful.

Well, having looked at the VFX pre-renders, that 16,000's make up is hard to tell. In that fleet arrival scene pre-render, there are not light freighters, just capital ships and large cargo vessels.

Also, do we count the Vakbeor as a capital ship of cargo ship? To my lights, it probably could be fitted with a decent number of turbolasers and laser cannons, just not in its basic form. I think cargo ship with military engines, shields, and room for added weaponry make the most of that cargo frigate designation. Poor worlds' PSFs buy Vakbeors and Hammerheads, middle-class buy Paladin II's and Neb-C configurations, and rich worlds buy Neb-BFs and Mon Cala craft.
