Well I got the game yesterday and I love it, is there a way to get a different storyline if you join the outcasts?

Is there any chance of this being released on Xbox? Since, ya know, its a Micro$oft game. I'd be one happy camper cause my PC can't handle much.

Sure. Blast a few Liberty Police ships, and after a while you'll be friend with them. Of course, after that you won't be able to land on planets and use trade lanes..

I heard this is a quite good game. Not as ground breaking as microsoft hyped it up to be but quite good. (John Rhys-Davies yay!)

    X2 on the other hand....

dont deal with the outcasts, deal with the corsairs!

that way you can get a Titan, and they have bases all over in Omega

Thanks for the hint :) Does this also count for MP?

i wish you could buy battleships!

hey i wish you could destroy battleshios outside of the SP stroy, but you cant.

    TheBigP(MP):
    Titan (Corsairs Very Heavy Fighter)
    2 THOR'S HAMMERS (lvl 10)
3 Angelito MK III (Lvl 8)
    300,000 credits

Bah, they should add that in the game, that makes the game more fun. They should also add more diversity in missions. Because basicly every mission is combat (I know that the game is combat orientated, but still more diversity means even more fun :) )

And my ship is too weak in MP and it's not powerfull in SP. So I won't bother mentioning it ;)

Oh yeah best trade route is:
New Berlin - New Tokyo :D

How are the controls for space battles?

Well, there are two modes. Basically you hold down the left mouse button to 'drag' your ship around. (It flies toward the cursor as you move it on the screen.) Then you hit the right MB to open fire toward the cursor. The thing is that by releasing the LMB, you can click on the various interface buttons in the hud. Easier than remembering a hundred of various key combinations. You can switch to free flight mode too, by hitting space. Then you don't have to hold down the LMB to move, the ship automatically follows the cursor.

    Best trade routes:
diamonds from Solaris station (omega 11) to New tokyo (B: 211 S: 1350)
Engine parts from New tokyo to Freeport 4 (magellon) (B:225 S:1400)

if you have a humpback you can make about 300000 credits a run, or a bit more. but if you dont have something that strong forget about Solaris station, lots of outcasts and heassions.

Dromedaris has a greater cargo capacity then a humpback so Dromedaris is the best to go when trading however it's armour is poor compared with humpback.

Do you find the controls fairly good or intuitive after a while?

Yeah, it's very intuitive... But I've always prefered playing space shooters with the mouse, so I'm not sure you can trust me. ;)

Anyway, you can just try playing the demo...

correction on the one trade route:

Engine parts from Honsue to Freeport 4 (B:150 S:1350)

    Edit:
and the mouse system actually works pretty well. its easier to line up range shots and you dont need to bother with changing out mouse and joysticks

    Edit 2:
    my current SP character:
    Titan (Corsiars VHF)
    2 BlUE BLAZE (lvl 10)
    2 THORS HAMMER (lvl 10)
    Cutter Mine

I finishing up the SP game now. I'm going to the Nomad home base next. I'm sure it's gonna be a bitch but I'm looking forward to it. That last mission, I used up all of my nano and shields and had half my armor left before the tide turned and I was able to regain my shields.

What ship did you use for the last mission? I used the Anubis.I could have gotten the Titan and used Lv. 10 weapons but I don't like to be all powerful.

And if I hear, "got something for me?" or "You're new around here aren't you?", I'm gonna lose it!

i can admit the conversations get very repedative very quickly. but thats how trhey can squeez the thing into one disc is making all that stuff compact and canned.
