I think you would make an excellent consular. Award yourself 3 force points. (Bardan_Jusik).
    Here is your next task;

    Padawan Training - Force Falling

Venture out into the nearby forest alone. Find a steep place with a significant vertical drop. There are plenty of mountains, canyons and cliffs to choose from. Once you have found your spot, center yourself, then practice by jumping off and slowing yourself through the Force so as to safely land at the bottom. You may start with a smaller jump or two, if you like, before making a final dramatic leap in order to complete the task. Good luck. :ben:

For some visual inspiration for your RP imagination, see the vid below. ;)

    Padawan Task: Starfighter

For this next task, you are to create a report on a ship of your choosing. It may be from any era. Acceptable types to report include, but are not limited to, bombers, pursuit fighters, transports/shuttles, light freighters, gunships, or trainers.

    *COMMUNICATION!!!*

The word rang clearly in Skyla's mind, as if an enormous chorus was crying out in her head, accompanied by mental images so bright as to blur her vision. A muffled voice drifted up from the deck as her master struggled with the ship's power plant. "The reactor is going into some crazy oscillations and I'm trying to stop it from blowing up! I don't know what's going on up there, but you'll have to handle it!"

    *COMMUNICATE!!!*

It was urgent, the word directed straight into her brain, demanding and commanding.

I turn on the transceiver. Perhaps that is what the voice meant when it said "Communication."

This close to the star and the sunspots and solar flares, all you pick up is static.

    *COMMUNICATE!!!* blazes through your brain.

Sorry for the delay, 5pts! Almost there! Now you just have to stay on target ;)

Now repeat for me the Jedi mantra and let me know how you feel your understanding of it has changed since you were first a padawan? Any way at all?

Oh man you just asked a Fleet Junkie to list his favorite ship. Might wanna pull up a chair. :D

I am gonna do one fighter and one cruiser cause I cannot narrow down both together.

    Fighter: RZ-1 A-wing
    [IMG]

The RZ-1 A-wing was created due to Jan Dodanna's evaluation of the Battle of Yavin. He saw that 3 TIE's nearly ended the whole mission and that the Empire would also see this fact in its evaluations. Dodanna's theory was correct, the Empire was creating the TIE Interceptor at this time. To combat the potential of an Imperial fighter designed for snubfighter to snubfighter combat; the Alliance turned to Walex Blissex who was a former member of the Kuat Drive Yards engineering department. Blissex had helped work on the Delta-7 and Alpha-A interceptors making him the perfect person to consult on the topic.

Using the preexisting R-22 Spearheads that had been dubbed A-wings by the pilots, they started work on the RZ-1. Alliance Underground Engineering was started due to this project. The Alliance did not have the funding to produce the ships however. Alliance bases such as Cardooine and the Chardaan shipyards where used to make the first A-wings. Even with a growing supply there was only one squadron available during the Battle of Endor. Despite this, Green Leader was imperative to victory. His kamikaze sacrifice took out the SSD Executor's bridge sending it into the DS2 due to it's gravity well pulling on it.

The A-wing is a very very capable one v one snubfighter. Its speeds where unmatched and it was quite small and able to fit into hangars more easily. The ship was vital for the Alliance and New Republic's need for hit and run attacks as well as for keeping enemy TIEs off of transports. TIE Bombers could not get close with these things around.

Capital ship: Venator Class Star Destroyer

The Venator class star destroyer was created by Kaut shipyards during the Clone Wars. It was 1,137 meters long, 548 meters wide, and 268 meters tall. While not massive by star destroyer standards therein lies one of its greatest strengths. The ship was a dedicated fighter carrier, being able to carry roughly 192 V-wings or V-19 Torrents depending on the time in the war, 36 ARC-170s, 192 Eta class starfighters, and 40 LAAT Gunships of both variants. Not to mention a walker compliment of 24 and a trooper compliment of 2,000. They normally had 420 fighters at all times as well as an IM-455 modular garrison.

Undocumented in terms of the amount but Venators have been shown to contain several Turbo Tanks as well as this thing that has a name but I forgot it cause it is so unknown. I did not even know it was a thing till a few months back. it is in several scenes right up close strangely.

Here it's in the back by the LAAT's nose.

And here it is on the right flying by.

The Venator was primed for invasion forces. They could swoop in, send fighters to break the Seppie blockade and then land on the actual surface unlike most other star destroyers and drop off their troops. if they cannot land they can just use their 40 LAATs and other shuttles to land troops as well. Venators can function as air bases or even land bases if need be when you get down to it. They where perfect for the needs of the GAR.

In terms of the cruiser's actual output it has 8 DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets, 2 medium dual turbolaser cannons, 52 point defense laser cannons, 6 tractor beams, and 4 heavy proton torpedo tubes. The ship could move as fast as 3,000 g and had a class 1 hyperdrive. The ship also had a two kilometer long dorsal flight deck opened up by the red strip on the top of the hull dividing in half vertically.. Inside was dozens of small shielded compartments with ships and walkers along its sides. It was a very effective way to distribute transports.

The doors could also be opened in smaller sections as to avoid enemy landing parties.

The Venator also had two docking stations, one on the starboard and the other on the port. They also had a docking bay for frigates at the bottom of the vessel.

The RZ-1 is an agile harasser. Edgy and excellent maneuverability. What do you think would be the outcome of a dogfight between the A-Wing and the Droid Tri-Fighter? vncredleader

*Oh and don't apologize, I won't ever set a strict time limit on when you complete your tasks. You get to it when you get to it. :)

Interesting question. A Tri-fighter certainly has a more packed armament. I assume an A-wing would still win but squad vs squad the Tri might win due to those homing rockets and buzz droids being spread out over a larger radius being very very deadly. The lack of astromech also would put the A-wing at a disadvantage.

I'm inclined to agree. I think the edge would be decided upon the skill of the pilot.. vncredleader

There's nothing behind you, but it's getting harder to see with your eyes because the brightness of the visions in your head are starting to make the world around you fade out. The faint hum of the life support system is also being drowned out by the chorus of voices inside your mind as they scream at you. *COMMUNICATE!!!*

My understand of the Jedi mantra hasn´t really changed since my time as a initiate.
I still think that peace, mercy and undertsdaing are the most important things in the life of a Jedi. We don´t seek to rule the galaxy like the Sith do but to help it. We want to understand instead of being igrnorand as irgnorance is the cause for many conflicts.
As Jedi we need to meditate between differented sides and factions to achive true peace. To do that we allways need to keep a clear head and not let emotions overwhelm us, while at the same time we shouldn´t become completly emotionless machines.

In your mind's eye you are aware of uncountable bright spots arranged in an immense sphere. They flicker in time to the chorus of words ringing in your head.

*PERCEPTION! THEY PERCEIVE! THEY PERCEIVE THE PEOPLE! DO THEY COMMUNICATE?*

I am now aware of the full message. This could possibly relate back to when I could sense life. But what people? They can't possibly live on the star unless they are extremophiles. Meaning they couldn't be human.

Padawan Task: Alternate Ways to Violence

You have tracked down a fugitive to the planet Ryloth. The wanted criminal has taken shelter inside an abandoned fort that's been re-enforced to withstand anything short of orbital bombardment. Locking himself inside, he has enough supplies within the fort to last several weeks. It's worth noting that there is a settlement of Twi-leks several hundred meters away from the stronghold.

How do you go about removing him from the fortified position and into custody? vncredleader

I would attempt to find a way in. If there is an opening I can cut through then I would ask the settlement if it has anyone who can fight. I would tell them to be on ready outside the entrance in case the fugitive lures me in so he can slip out. I would also see if I can make some gas grenades and hopefully some irritant gas. I would use a rebreather and use the gas grenades to smoke the fugitive out. I could sense him in the force so he would have trouble slipping past me and even if he does the Twi-leks would get him.

I've spent a bit of time (both past and present when I can) with a few groups around the forums. The first is the Cantina in SWC, where I've met nice people who are really passionate about the things they love to talk about. It's more social orientated then anything else. And I choose it because I like the atmosphere. I also spend time in the Mandalorian fanclub (though it hasn't been very much lately due to other things) and I have to say that I really love the group in SWC. It's friendly, and it's nice to speak to others about Mandalorians. It's a fanclub that is also social orientated. I really need to post in there more though. And finally the Star Wars Senate Game in SWC is another group that I have spent time with and will continue to spend time with. It's a nice to pretend to be a Senator in the game and has opened my eyes a bit. That is to say, it's interesting interacting with others in a Senate setting. It's like a fanclub, but also a game that is both information based and social orientated.

I hope my answers are alright Master the Vangaurd.
