Provo Halloween Costume Party

Greetings Everyone,

Here are the details of the Star Wars Halloween 2001 costume party...

When: Halloween Night, Wednesday, October 31, 2001
Where: Mike Handy's home. If you need the address, please E-mail me at mike@starwarsutah.com.
Time: Appearance in costume is 6:30pm-8:30pm. Those wearing costumes must be at my place by 5:40pm.
What are we doing? - We will be greeting kids and families as they come Trick-or-Treating. I will have Star Wars music playing, props/life size figures on display, lights, special effects, the works.

I have it on good authority that a KSL channel 5 TV news crew will be there.

There will be plenty of pizza and drinks for everyone.

I will be handing out copies of the Utah County Journal to those who want one that night courtesy of Patrick Kendall. That's the paper we appeared on the front page of for our Media Play event.

Since we have people literally coming from the whole valley and Salt Lake(We've been handing out flyers), I am asking that everyone who comes bring 2 bags of candy. You can get the good quality stuff from Walmart for only $1.88 a bag right now.

At 8:30pm, we will get everyone out of costume. If people wish to stay, we will be watching some movie at my place. We'll decide which one later that night.

So I know how much pizza to buy, I need an RSVP from everyone who plans on coming. Please indicate how many are coming from your group or family and which costume(s) you would like to wear. I MAY not have enough costumes for everyone and please don't feel obligated to wear a costume either. You can just come and enjoy the great food and atmosphere. If you have your own costume to wear, please indicate that.

Please feel free to invite your friends and/or family to come by Trick-or-Treating between 6:30 and 8:30pm.

6 Stormtroopers
1 Scout Trooper
1 Tie Fighter Pilot
1 Imperial Fleet Trooper
1 Imperial Guard
1 Padme - Tatooine
1 Bith - Cantina Band member
1 Jawa
1 Darth Maul (partial costume)

I'd be interested in the Padme costume again, and I'll speak for the other Imperial Guard costume for Michael as well. Thanks!

Aww, man. What happened to the Shmi costume? I don't have one, otherwise.

Sorry about the Shmi costume. My Sister-in-law who really wants to dress up is nursing a baby and that's the only costume that would work for her.

Send me a PM and we may be able to work something else out.

Toran-Kal(Rory): If you want to come, I can get another royal guard costume or we can look for something else that might fit you.

of course Halloween has to be on a night that I have class. Of course I have class every night but you all knew that.

I wish I could join you all in the fun, of course I get to greet my own trick-or-treaters at my house. but I have my own SW costume to get all dolled up in.

I think I'll actually sit this one out. One of my friends has to stay home and "pass out candy" so we told him we'd go over and keep him company. Plus, I've got to leave for a trip early the next morning.

 

Okay my schedule until middle of December is Tuesday-Thursday is a no go for me because of classes in the evenings. Some Fridays are bad because I'm a partner in a wedding decorating company with my mom and she never tells me when we have weddings until the week before. Such fun.

I will make sometime, I hope.
