Seeing as this guy has appeared twice I think he deserves his own thread especially because I think he’ll keep appearing.

he gives me spy vibes but I know he’s not a spy. Or else he’s a super good spy and just continues to be a spy for 25 years. I am confident he’s just an idiot. But knowing that I am confident makes me think he is a spy because I am 0-2 on this show so far.

This made me spit out my drink! Poor Kaz was not equipped for that mission with any of the skills he'd need in a real situation.

 

Still to this day so very confused why Poe picked him to be the spy.

 

I think it was because Resistance was brought down to be more of a kids show so having Kaz bumble through his misadventures was something little kids could laugh at.

 

I do find it fascinating that a character introduced in resistance is now in live action never would have thought that would happen in a million years

 

It would be nice if they gave him a chance to appear as anything other than a strawman.

 

I was about to say it’s a wonder he keeps his job for another 25 years then again I know a lot of politicians who I would ask the same question for.

You're not wrong about that, but the thing is that Xiono actually does have some good points in theory (legitimate governments can't just let their military officers launch unsanctioned combat operations), but rather than engage with this and create a more interesting conflict, the show just makes him a huge jerk and a moron so that we understand he's in the wrong.

 

And again..I will bring this back to my comment on whether or not the Senators are getting the full details of what is going on. I keep assuming that Hera filed a detailed report..but in both the meeting on Home One and again here in this episode it seems to be focused on Hera saying "Thrawn is out there and still a danger" and the senators all being "No he's not...you only want to waste resources on finding Ezra." and not the fact that an group of Imperial Loyalists had infiltrated a shipyard and were stealing materials like SSD hyper drives.

 

He deserves Chopper's foot up his arse.

 

It's way too obvious. This deadbeat dad is a damn traitor doing shady deals with the Imperial Remnants. And I'll be here for when he tries to kiss Thrawn's boot and ends up the first person killed in the war.

 

It is a shame he was alive in Resistance. I would take great pleasure in him dying a horrific on screen death.

 

Such good rival for Hera. He is one of the reasons New Republic fails. I hope he still alive in Rey's movie just to be killed. Both these are the worst.
