Has Thrawn been made too smart!

Thrawn isn't too smart, and he is the greatest of eu characters. He studied he studied all types of war and what the "next move" would be. This is why he is so smart. Palps looks into the future to see what is going to happen, whereas Thrawn KNOWS what is going to happen.

Also referring to someone who said that thrawn would've lead a victory at the battle of endor, that's crazy ppl. Come on, the reason as Zahn points out is that Palps died, his minions were lost without that force grip over them. "Fear will keep them in line" once Palpatine was thrown into the pit that fear was lifted.

 

No, it wasn't exactly fear keeping the Imperials going. It was more like a sort of psychological meld, force influence that motivated and drove the Imperials to figths and coordinate with such frigthening effiency.
