Considering the ‘Hawks are actually managing to be competitive this evening I think the Detroit fans are right to have been worried about the performances in their season so far.

I did! Apparently it’s an annual thing. ESPN+ carrying the TSN broadcasts is really spoiling me, the type of US viewer easily amused by previously Canada-only content.

 

same here, when I was a kid growing up in Syracuse NY area we had rabbit ears that picked up a couple stations from Ontario, but it's been a while

now with ESPN+ I get some of the same broadcasts, it's great

Great game tonight for the Leafs minus Reaves who I would prefer to never see play again for them.

 

Went to the Flyers game last night, and it was STAR WARS night, which is a lot of fun. Some great cosplayers there you can take pics with...Mando, the Armorer, a Stormtrooper, several Jawas....its a lot of fun if you're a Star Wars fan. The one thing that mystifies me, although I am sure it has something to do with licensing or concerns about over-stocking or... something... is that they have no Flyers/SW related merch to sell. You can get a T shirt but only by pre-ordering when you buy your tickets or some such. Which I just don't get. You'd think having a cool Flyers/SW T shirt to sell on SW night would be a no brainer. Weird.

When your team isn't very good, you look for bright spots, and I have to say that so far Michkov has some terrific play-making skills. I couldn't find a short excerpt, sorry, but take a look at about the five minute mark of this video... the play he makes here looked even more impressive in person. He looks back, reads what is happening, and at the last moment lowers his shoulder like he's going to shoot before making a great pass. Hopefully, over time, he proves to be the "real deal". The Flyers could use the help.

PS - Also found this interesting...they did one of those things where they say "make some noise if this is you" and post things on the scoreboard, and the two biggest reactions were to the Prequels, and to Grogu.

but that reeves hit on nurse was pretty bad, he has to be suspended right?

I think it ruins in the family, his brother is on the Leafs and probably getting sent down at some point unless his play improves or so I hear.
