Bold Prediction! By the time the Finoli movie rolls around Hera will be using the Force to grab and throw things too!

 

Doubtful. Dave Filoni knows his characters and will tell a great Star Wars story

 

After watching Ashoka, I'm skeptical on both of those thoughts.

 

Then I unlike you trust the creator of Hera, Sabine, Ezra, Zeb and Chopper to know his source material. Dave Filoni created these characters and co-created Ahsoka Tano with George Lucas he knows what he’s doing. Regardless if we agree with him or not.

 

Only slightly related to Hera, but I met and got the autograph from Femi Taylor (Oola) today at the Wintercon convention in NYC.

She had a panel on stage, and though she admitted that she didn't know much of anything about the franchise before she was asked to play the role of Oola in ROTJ, she says now that she's honored to have played the first on-screen Twi-lek for SW. The host on the stage suggested that she was the only green Twi'lek, and I didn't bother correcting him.

 

Tbh I was thinking about him for a moment after it was said; Did Bib actually show up on screen before Oola's dancing, or not? I'd have to do a quick rewatch of those scenes in Jabba's lair to remind me otherwise.

 

She's definitely the first female Twi'lek onscreen.

 

Well of course that's the case. Just wasn't sure at the moment if she appeared before Bib or not. I thought we only see Bib when Luke first appears; but Oola gets thrown into the Rancor pit well before that, right?

Right. I stand corrected. Still, she's not only the first female, she's easily the best looking Twi'lek by far up through the point that we see Aayla for that brief cup of coffee in AOTC.

For years I had to remind myself that he even was a Twi'lek.

 

That's because he's so much sexier than all the other Twi'leks.

That's super cool. Some of the minor characters are just as interesting. The story about Jess in the ROTJ FACPOV has some moments that add to Oola.

 

Star Wars Promised One Key Reunion 2 Years Ago - So When Will It Finally Happen?

I'd nearly forgotten about the BB episode with Hera befriending Omega. Depending on where Season 3 goes (and if there's a 4th season in the works), you wonder if there's already plans on having a LA Omega at some point; possibly popping up in Mando first and then Ahsoka.

 

This is the kinda thing that plagues genre franchises. Dull commentary creating a false sense of a lack of fan service fulfillment. Stop trying to force reunions between characters that fans don’t even remember they might maybe want to see someday. Just let storytellers tell good stories. Enough of this cloying sentimentality around character reunions. This is the sort of thing that drives fans to give an episode a zero rating because two characters didn’t hug in a scene. Come on.

 

Why wouldn't fans remember Hera? I would suggest she's a fairly popular character; at least as side characters go.

 

Not Hera. The meeting of Hera and Omega I mean. As you said, you didn’t even remember it happening. And neither did I. Yet here’s an article telling us that fans should expect a reunion between them, or else!

 

Probably just a meeting in Bad Batch season 3 if at all.

 

Surely most people are smart enough to realise that when a title says ‘fans want this’ or ‘fans are upset about’ this is usually just meaning the writer / poster wants it and just assumes what he / she wants is what everyone wants and is just clickbait?

 

I hope Hera and Omega are reunited. They probably were in Rebellion era. And by New Republic era good close friends.
