Yeah, but I don't think Disney or LFL are behind it. Just that all these sites are feeding off of each other. Some of them are enthusiastic and innocent, I'm sure. But some of this stuff could be getting created by someone in the first place that isn't on the level, IMO.

What if Max Von Sydow is playing a much older version of THE INQUISITOR from Rebels.

Probably way too on the nose, but whatever.

 

There's nothing in that sketch to me that even says it has to be a male character.

 

If this is for real i hope they at least improve the design of it. Sure hope it won't be a attempt to make another Darth Vader.

 

I'll reserve judgement for an official released image.

 

Man, this isn't fun. I don't mind the baseless speculation but now crappy "concept art" being trotted around. This is the stuff that I hate. I'm longing for when shooting raps so we get some early cuts getting leaked. It may be something worth talking about.

I'd say it's probably real. I've said all along that the villain was most likely going to be Vader-esque. There's no way Disney was going to create a villain that didn't evoke memories of the greatest screen villain of all time. This is also a sign that the ST will essentially be a reboot/remake of the OT, so you can bet an Emperor-esque villain will pop up in Episode VIII and die in IX.

 

Kinda looks like General Klytus from Flash Gordon.

I'm aware of this. For all we know that could be a Droid hand. Actually it looks like 3PO's Prequel body hand:

 

To clarify: He's obviously commenting on the fact this stuff sounds as crazy as it does, not that he actually believes in the idea this is disinformation. It's a comment on the quality of the stories he's reporting, not so much a means to comment on their veracity.

Noit only that, he will apperently do something with the actual Vader`s helmet. Vader on Vader is a bit too much for my taste.

 

This concept art does look unbelievably fake. As if there would be a shot in the movie of the new villain stroking Vader's helmet. Talk about rehashing.
And what other movie has concept art leaked from? Usually thats not something hanging around for an extra to take a selfie with

 

I like the design and I also like that this character holds Vader's helmet as some sacred idol. I wonder if his cybernetics are because of injury or he's actually turning himself into a cyborg. That would be incredibly creepy. I also like that he and Luke would each hold sacred the different aspects of Anakin/Vader. If he's trying to rebuild the Sith while Luke rebuilds the Jedi the symbolism is fantastic.

 

Not sure about the whole Vader obsession. Unless he has a hatred of Vader for destroying the Sith?
