okay, I registered over at ChicagoForce but I haven't been so brave as to enter the chat room yet...

 

Good luck in the chat room. There seems to be a strange force field (no pun intended) that prohibits more than one or two people to feel like logging in at the same time. Consequently, you'll see a lot of markers indicating that someone has logged in, looked around long enough to see that no one else is there, then logged off. If memory serves, there was an attempt a few weeks ago to put together a CF chat room meeting schedule, but I never heard much more about it...

Oh, and dont pay any attention to JediJeff, he's harmless. Just watch out for NOT_JediJeff. That bastard's a trip and a half.

Nice to see Chicago (Okay, Chicago-AREA fans). I actually live in Chicago. Far Southside, all of about 20 mins away from Indiana, which is where, like many Southsiders, you go to buy cheap gas and cigarettes, and firecrackers if you can sneak them back over the boarder on the 4th of July weekend.

 

Lemme get this straight; one of the few other True Chicagoans here lives farther away from me than a good chunk of the suburbanites. Fate is unkind. Well, at least we've got the borders covered.

On an unrelated topic, the Se7en DVD that just came out is really, really fuc&in good. It's a two-disc set on a par with (but not quite as much "fun" as) the Fight Club disc from earlier this year. Now I just have to wait (and wait, and wait) for the Dogma Special Edition...

Correct, DA - but remember to fork out some serious cash for a decent pair. Oh sure, if you are frist starting out you may not want to invest a lot of money into a good pair of goggles, and that's okay. Possibly see if you can get your mitts on a nice pair of second hand specs. But if you enjoy stalking as much as Penguin and myself, and if you decide to really expend your practice, you will find that nothing compares to a quality pair of night vision goggles, except maybe a high frequency police scanner.
