JCC How to be a JCCer, the Thread

Sarge was already nostalgic about good old times when the first page was made.

And this is so in line with SW as a concept. New stuff comes out, we bitch about it being different from the good old days, until enough time passes for it to be included in the good all days as well.

These last few pages are a good example of how to be a JCCer: reminisce about the good old days of the JCC.

 

I used the creator's proto-Star Wars site back in the mid-1990s.

Also, wtf happened with gabe? I remember Lord Bane and Carter, and a lot of the other earlier stuff -- but not anything with gabe specifically. I think I drove Grilled-Sarlacc to drink after he got back from his deployment...

 

I'm only a midbie, but I would be the first to say there were no "good old days."

 

The JCC is America!

 

The old days seem to be a combination of absolute **** and hilarious. So nothing has changed

 

But what about that one time? That was funny.

But the microcosm of the JCC is the allegory of life as a whole.

You get a sense of nostalgia since you're 12. You live every moment while being nostalgic of moments in the past. And the moments in the future you'll remember the moments in the present as something different and more worthwhile, oblivious of the fact that right now you are here, not enjoying them while they're happening, but crying in the melancholic remembrance of the past .

 

So am I a gray hair around here or something?
