This is very heavily based off the design from the marvel's spider-man cartoon because I loved it so much. I incorporated some other elements like having her color scheme match Maxwell Dillon's electro and her "fully powered" form being more humanoid.

Francine Dillon(maiden name is Frye) was once an average engineer that was working on a way to create pure energy from lightning. When her funding was cut, she started to use her tech to commit petty robberies, often getting stopped by spider-woman. After awhile, she began to be able to generate bolts of electricity without her suit but this came at a cost. An ordinary human that touches her is giving a large shock that may even kill them.

Because of this, Francine cannot even be near her husband, Maxwell Dillon, or their baby, Allison. She blames Spider-woman for this because she believes that if she hadn't have gotten in her way so many times, her suit would've been completely finished and safe and she wouldn't be the walking electrical hazard she is now. Her suit does contain her power to a degree but it can still break easily if she turns her voltage up high enough.

I wanted to redesign my version of Francine Frye and give her a more "mad scientist" sorta look. I also added a cute comic on the side because in 616, Francine is a fan of MJ and it's cute af and I wanted that to be the same in this universe too.

Vanessa was born with a limp and raised by a criminal father that saw her as more of a nuisance than a daughter. Despite having a frail body, Vanessa had an advanced intellect and a ruthless personality. She used this to rise to the top and form her own criminal empire. While she has countless body guards and henchmen at her command, it was Wilson Fisk that she truly feels a connection to.

Wilson was born with mostly muscle and grew up as a large and intimidating individual. Because of this, Wilson starting looking at jobs that would suit his unique body type and was hired by Vanessa. Vanessa was the first to acknowledge Wilson's intellect and not just see him as muscle and Wilson could relate to being ostracized for having the body he was born with. It didn't take long for them to start dating and then marry.

Wilson is his wife's right hand man and will tear apart anyone who disrespects her. Vanessa can be just as cruel and has lashed out at others for interrupting her time with her husband or "embarrassing her" in front of him. Such as breaking Elaine Cole's(later to become the scorpion) fingers with her cane for daring to disrupt a date she and her husband were on or sending her henchmen to send a message to Curt Connors by almost killing his wife for the crime of not paying back the money he owed her.

In other words, they are an adorable and loving couple...just do not get on their bad sides.

Ya'll can thank streetgals9000 for the idea to add some Japanese folklore to this rogues gallery. In this universe, hydro-woman is a ningyo...sorta. Let me explain.

When you meet Moriko, she seems like a lovely and kind model that is well loved in her home country and modeling industry. However, you'd be very wrong.

Moriko was raised by an abusive fisherman and lived in poverty until her father managed to actually catch what looked like an actual mermaid when Moriko was 18. Taking this chance, she killed her own father and butchered the helpless mermaid into pieces. She grew up with stories about how consuming cooked mermaid flesh could give you eternal youth and it was true. After eating only some of the meat, she forever kept the rest of the meat for years just in case. The mermaid meat never rotted and Moriko went on to become a model thanks to her looks and eternal youth.

Moriko had a savage streak though. Whenever another model or actress started getting more attention than her, she'd make sure that she'd have an "accident" or go missing. When Mary Jane Watson got the opportunity to go to Japan for a fashion show, Moriko didn't like that some foreigner was stealing the spotlight that she literally killed to get. However, she was only one of several models that needed to be taken care of.

As more of the models got injured and almost killed, MJ suited up and started to investigate saw that it was Moriko doing this. When spider-woman came to apprehend the model, Moriko panicked. She didn't want all that she worked for to be taken away, so she ran into her kitchen and pulled out what looked like a large hunk of raw fish. Moriko knew what would happen if she ate it raw but in desperation, she started to devour the meat. Right in front of spider-woman, Moriko transformed into a half woman, half fish monster.

While spidey was able to defeat her, Moriko managed to evade capture and swam all the way to new york. She wants revenge on spider-woman for destroying her career and blames her for her affliction.

Before her accident, Francine would have a Mermaid party with her daughter Allison where they'd go to the pool or beach and have cute mermaid themed snacks and games. Sadly, Francine can no longer do that because 1.) water is extremely painful for her when she's submerged in it and 2.) She's a wanted criminal and can't really visit her family anymore because of it.

While her husband Max made sure their child had a great party, Francine felt down about not being able to see her family and celebrate with them. Seeing this, Moriko swallowed all the pride she had and threw Francine a little mermaid party of their own. Granted that means putting on an embarrassing shirt that Francine gave her but at least her friend is happy again.

Also, I gave Francine rubber gloves because she needs them when she's not wearing her costume to prevent herself from accidentally zapping people. Even (well, most)villains have moments of humanity and selflessness.
