Leia really isn't thinking too well, is she?

She seems to be just going about her business as if she isn't one of the most wanted people in the galaxy. And, she's allowing her emotions to run roughshod over her judgement.

I'll bet she's not even using her Jedi skills either. She's not trying to sense danger through the Force. She's not trying to remember what anger leads to. She probably hasn't even taken her lightsaber with her either.

She's making things astonishlingly easy for Palpatine's agents.

Han's got some explaining to do, definitely...

Winter should have given Leia a nice slap on the face. Hopefully, Han will come to her rescue (and talk some sense into her) before those two shady guys nab her. Or, are they after Rydor? Am very interested to read Han's side of the story. Hopefully, we'll find out why he reacted so badly to Rydor.

 

I have to agree with Gabri on this one. You are dragging this out like a snail through mud. It's deliberate torture and I'm sure the constitution says something about cruel and unusual punishment being very NOT ALLOWED.

Poor Leia! I understand her very well. I had been in a situation like this -not with a photo, I saw my man in a bar with another woman and then leaving together, not seeing me- and although there was a very simple and innocent explanation I was not be able to put two reasonable thoughts together. Damn our insecurity! I made a fool out of myself.
I just hope that there is very simple and innocent explanation about this or else... Han will have to answer to me.

Okay, I was half right. I really had a sneaking suspicion that Leia found some evidence of the woman who shall remain nameless. And Leia is definitely not thinking clearly. Whatever trouble lies ahead for her, I just know that Han will come to her rescue and prove his love for her. And I'm so glad we finally get to hear Han's side of the story in the next post.

 

Sure, you should know the end of the story since you're the suthor. I just want to know how everything comes together! Im impatient.

Leia is going to give herself a hernia running around all stressed out like that. I cant complain, though- it makes for good drama!

Forgive me, I have never read the Han Solo trilogies, but i have a question. If Bria was a Rebel fighting the good fight, even giving her life to see that the plans of the first Death Star got into the right hands, then why is she so hated?

bria is hated because she is a gigantic Mary Sue and she has some deluded fans who think she is better for Han than Leia is .
Also, her creator isn't the most loved of authors in certain quarters, specially not at the minute

Now we have two cliffies simultaneously: What the heck was Han thinking?, and What is going to happen to Leia? It would be lovely to see her kick butt--don't let her get captured or something stupid! She has to sort everything out with Han!!

On a sort of off-topic subject, I wrote 10 pages of H/L fic today, set during ESB

 

I was gone for a bit. But now I am back! WHERE is Han and what's going on with Leia?!

Is anyone else getting that horror-movie feeling? The kind where you get to yell, 'CINDY! LOOK OUT! IT'S BEHIND YOU!' because you hear the creepy omnious music and nothing bad's happened in a while and the bad guy has been missing for too long, and but Cindy sees a little kitten in an alley, and she goes 'Ahhh, hey there little fella, where's your momma?' and then the kitty runs off and then Cindy looks behind her and AHHHHH there's a big knife pointed at her heart and you hear a slashing noise and then there's Cindy lying on the ground, all dead and bloody and missing a heart.

And I don't even watch horror movies. They give me nightmares.

Or worse, I feel like I'm in that movie 'Serendipity', where Kate Beckingsale and John Cusack keep missing each other by a few seconds.

I think I'm getting the horror movie ambiance because I don't like Bria, she gives me the willies, and because Leia's getting the wrong idea. I think. Although with LP, you never know.

But Winter knows something Leia's doesn't, doo dah, doo dah.

The whole 'Serendipity' thing is because I'm hoping that Han doesn't hate Rydor (how could he?!) and that Leia thinks he does, and it's all one big miscommunication...

There has to be someone to blame for this. Vader's a little obvious, let's go for Lando.

- Some people argue that the HST's portrayal of Han and Bria showed that Han really loved Bria and that she was the love of his life, and Leia was more of a rebound than anything else. This has some H/L'ers seeing red at the mention of her name.

- Also, the author of that trilogy is not the favorite person in the Corphelion Stars Bespin Cafe at this moment, or Han and Leia's Clubhouse or Han and Leia Strikes Back or at Han's Deli.

- Luke, Chewie and the droids are all at Base Command, which is located on Sullust, but not in Sareen City where Leia's apartment is. They're gonna meet up in a couple of days (story-time-wise)

Well, that was unexpected. I literally gasped when I read her name. As you may know, I don't like Bria. And if you didn't know, just take a gander at my sig. hehe

Oh and nice title! I can think of a few other words that start with B. And they all come to mind when I think about Bria. Although I won't post them here for fear of being banned.

I like Han having a past too. It adds to his character. It's obvious that Leia wasn't the first woman that he'd been with. I'm fine with having Bria in the story...as long as she stays dead. Good job!

I can't wait to to find out why Han left like that. He couldn't hate Rydor! He's too cute! (Well of course he is, he takes after his father)

I've been a lurker for the last week as i tried to get through all 43 pages of this fic...I really like how you've combined a lot of the OT senarios with your story.

I stumbled on this story after looking for some short stories, and laughing myself to tears at all the "He Made my bed!" etc. vignettes. I read the prequel to this, thought it was great and decided to try the one that was ongoing..

I love regular posts.

can't wait for the next one.

LadyPadme : Just curious, but what has the author of the HST done in the past few months that has everyone so upset with her? Would love to know, because I read the HST, and my opinion is that while Han did love Bria, Leia showed him a love/devotion that Bria never did. (While I don't hate Bria, I'm not a big fan of hers either.) Han and Leia forever!!!!!!!!!!!

Just felt this needed an up.

 

Solo Fan, Ann Crispin has accused Tara, a very devoted H/L fan and co-creator of the H/L fan fic archive thread Corphelion Stars Bespin Cafe, of sending her hate mail and subsequently getting Tara permantly banned from TFN. Those of us who have known and communicated with Tara over the years know these accusations to be unfounded, but alas TFN mods are unwilling to change their position on the matter. Tara's absence from the boards is a great loss to all H/L fans.

 

She doesn't last too long in the story. Besides, she's dead, okay?

*Nods* I know, I know. I've never personally read the HST, and I don't plan to, but... The things I've heard about Bria... *Shrug* I understand that Bria (in the books) did a lot for the Alliance. I also understand that people are allowed to have more than one love in a lifetime--that's fine. I just... The character of Bria doesn't float my boat, LOL. I guess I just don't see a reason for her having been created, y'know? I don't care if you use her--it's your fic, and the fact that you bring Bria into it won't make me turn away in disgust or something. It does, in a way, add an interesting twist, and it works as yet another obstacle for Han and Leia--you know, because it's not like they've got enough problems right now...!

It's just that, when I first saw SW this summer, the thing that made me fall in love with it was Han/Leia... Then, I find the SW fanbase and find out all about EU and Bria, and it's like my whole Han/Leia "happy bubble" just pops! LOL.

Anywhoo. I'm looking forward to tonight's post, as always. Han's got some "splainin" to do, and I'm eager to hear it.

Woohoo! I was finally right about something! Go me! Although since one of my friends became a mother a month ago, I can understand why Leia, as a new mother and with all the family stuff she's just learned, would be more emotional. But that doesn't mean I am not anxious to see your explanation!
