    Well, I'd be happy if we don't hear any more Swedish accents in Star Wars. Shmi was painful to listen to at times.

    I remember when Pernilla August spoke to Lucas about her Swedish accent he said don't worry about it, it's a big galaxy.
    I think aslong as the character is well written and well acted any accents should not get in the way.

    There was another thread about having subtitled alien languages (eg: Huttese).

    That would be good to have to in order give the feel of the GFFA. It would balance out our own real world accents.

    The Hellhammer Sadly Irvin Kirshner made accents part of the overall deal. (ESB commentary he talks about that)

    as far as I'm concerned, stick with what was previously establishsed in Empire.
    the "casual/american" = rebellion/ new republic
    british = Empire/Moffs
    Islander = outer rim/bounty hunter

    No need to complicate things. An d it's not saying all english accents would be evil. Mixing things up with that would make things more interesting. Which is what I think the whole ST is about.

    How would a group that has UK northern accents fit, similar to Game of Thrones? Don't think it's an accent we've heard in the GFFA before.

    Israeli accent would also be annoying.

    I'm for UNDERSTANDABLE accents, whatever kind they are. Half the problems with the Neimoidian accents was not that they were Asian-esque, but that they were unintelligible, particularly in TPM. Meanwhile, the Zygerrian accents in TCW were fantastic to me, particularly where the character of Darts D'Nar was concerned. That accent took me pleasantly by surprise.

    I'd like to see a reformed Imperial with a British accent trying to learn Huttese with Rosetta Stone and not quite getting it.
