Ahsoka Jacen Syndulla (spoilers)

judging by the Lego leak it’s looking like we will be seeing Jacen again in this show

so let’s talk about our favorite once green haired child. Maybe they are force sensitive maybe they aren’t. I am just glad we are hopefully getting more with the character. Since again he isn’t really a character in rebels more just a footnote to have Kanan have a legacy outside of Ezra. So I look forward to him actually being a character.

 

We haven't seen him in any of the trailers yet, but it's a good bet he'll be in the show.

Perhaps his character in Ahsoka could be similar to the role Ezra played in Rebels and a little bit like Omega's role in The Bad Batch.

 

My only red line re: Jacen is they can’t make Hera a bad/failed mom like they did Han and Leia

 

Rumor is that Jacen goes off to train with Luke, and joins the Knights of Ren.

Kidding. But that could happen.

 

I would also be fine with some of Luke’s students surviving. 1 or 2 max though as I don’t think he would have had more than a couple dozen students max.

 

Wonder if it will addressed in new series - were Hera and Kanan married before his death or she addded his symbol on Kalikori to retroactively make him her husband.

Hope that eventually relationships between Jacen and his grandfather Cham will be explored.

 

Do we know if Jacen is force sensitive?

 

They implied he was at the end of Rebels.

 

How old would Jacen be at this point?

 

God this was so stupid it still made me laugh

 

In the newest short trailer I am pretty sure I have spotted what is the back of a child’s head in the ghost at the 26 second mark. Probably Jacen.

 

Good eye. Yes, that looks like it could be Jacen.

 

Who would make a better master for Jacen? Ezra or Ahsoka. Maybe it is Ahsoka journey, particularly with Sabine, that she comes to realize she is a Jedi and a teacher.

 

Ezra and by a long shot.

 

Why? Ahsoka was essentially a fully trained Jedi who knew the system before it was broken and still held to those principles even when not being considered a Jedi by name.

Kanan was not fully trained himself and had to kind of find his own way but was an excellent example of what a Jedi was supposed to be. That training is reflected in Ezra who while now basically a fully fledged Jedi himself, is not at Ahsoka's level.

I think because of the rebels' crew strong connection that Ezra has as well, this might even argue Ahsoka is better due to avoiding attachments, etc. Ahsoka also has connections to Luke who at this stage, is actively looking for and training younglings.

I am not sure either way but not sure why you could say Ezra by a long way.

 

Just more connection to Kanan. That’s it. Nothing more nothing less

 

It would mean more from a thematic and emotional standpoint to have Ezra train his master’s son. Plus it kind of evokes Obi-Wan and Luke and their shared relationship to Anakin.

 

Plus it means that finally we have a lineage that continues after Order 66 other than just the disaster that is Dooku—>Qui Gon—>Obi Wan—>Luke
Hell Ahsoka is you just replace Luke with Anakin and her. And I guess Sabine.

If Ezra trains Jacen we get
Windu—>Billaba—>Dume—>Ezra—>Jacen

I guess Mace Windu got one last laugh in

 

Inb4 Windu survived his fall out the window and will train Jacen.

Especially if Eighth Brother survived his fall and is Marrok.

But nah, Hera would probably either accept Ezra or nobody else

 

I'd say there is a very real possibility that Ahsoka training Jacen is a big part of this show that they are trying to conceal in the advertising for whatever reason.

 

I mean, I think most would agree on Ahsoka. Ezra was barely trained, and then by Kanan, who was barely a Jedi.

I think that familial attachment is a strike against Ezra being his master, actually. Even though it’s not a blood relationship. Ahsoka is a step removed, and far more experienced, and as such, a much better candidate to be a teacher for Jacen.

Let’s just pray to the Maker that Jacen’s not just a kid with green hair. A makeover is sorely in order.

 

If Hera really wanted to get dogmatic about it, she’d surrender her child to Luke and then cut all ties with him as he walked the monastic path.

But somehow I don’t think that’s the direction it’s going to go.

 

If I recall correctly there was a scene shown in one of the celebration exclusive trailers that showed someone trying to do something with the force.

I think it solely depends on what is happening with Sabine. If she’s truly force sensitive. Then I think Ezra will train Jacen. If not then I think odds are good when Ahsoka finally embraces being a Jedi again she will train Jacen.
