They're (LucasArts) pretty good at sticking to the continuity, so maybe give them the benefit of the doubt here and wait to see when the game is set , and what the Byss level entails before getting too concerned.

Well, the Jedi Academy didn't exist until after Byss was destroyed, IIRC.

 

Could be a space station where Byss was.

 

Forget it I'm going to have a go at predicting this one fully.

The Reborn/Cultist type people from the demo are channeling Force energies from the Jedi tomb on Chandrilla. I bet they go to the ruins of Byss and set up camp nearby to try and hookup to a strong darkside force left there.

 

Man all this EU stuff is making me REALLY want to get this game?
does anyone know if it comes in a two disc set? like simcity 4 (man I hate that game!!! good fifty bucks down the drain) came in 2 discs that were interchangeble.

And the people for the UK that also have a PS2 should know that a demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 3 will also be out on Friday. So if you are in a Game store getting Academy then it could be worth picking up.

 

Does any no if on multi player mode is about the same as jedi outcast, like makeing servers, private servers and regular deuling?

 

Croesus, those might be spacetroopers. The darktrooper project was destroyed years earlier in the Dark Forces game. If there were any survivors, they would have been used by the Empire at the very latest during Palpatine's return.

 

Those are the mechs from Outcast.

Not sure about your question on multiplayer. I don't quite understand it, but I'll give it a go anyway.

***Multiplayer will be exactly the same as Outcast except that the least played modes are now gone and replaced with 2 new modes of play. Power Duel and Siege. The method of getting into servers and setting up games should be pretty much the same as before.

 

The Dark Trooper project might've been destroyed but once the research is done it can't be undone... Somewhere floating around out there is a plausible story regarding leftover DT research being put to good use.

It's like all the Nazi research from WW2... Sure the Nazis didn't make it, but the research did for the most part.

Totally awesome demo tip guys. You know how you can spawn Kyle_boss right? And he rips into you with those sweet brawling moves? Now you can use them on any foe!

hold fire 1&2 for the punch combo
hold fire 1&2 + forward for the knee/cartoon slam (you'll know why when you see it it's so cool )
hold fire 1&2 + back for the choke hold/throw

Plus you can just use regular punchs AND kicks (plus flip kicks from MP) using fire 1 & 2 by themselves. Very nice if you don't have the saberstaff or are looking for a challenge. Beating to death a saber weilding reborn makes you feel like a freaking Teras Kasi master.

Why does it come out on the 17th? Games come out on Tuesdays. And Gamespot said it came out today. Best Buy, Circuit City, and Wal*Mart don't have it though.
