Joint Chapter Meet

Just thought I?d run this by you all to see if you fancy having a Joint Chapter meet with our good friends of the North chapter in Edinburgh one weekend in late January, early February 2008. There has been a fair bit of interest from them and I think it would be a lot of fun.

 

That sounds like a good idea - count me in!

Hi everyone

I've just bumped the thread back over on the North thread and am wondering when you lot would like to do this....I've suggested late Jan/early Feb to give people a chance to get over Xmas and save up a bit..?

 

Some of us are definately up for this Suzi, February would probably be the best option, what do the rest of you guys think?

Looking for a new job is beginning to get to me.

 

OK guys, a couple of date bands for the meet have been suggested by our friends in the North, they are 9th/10th of Feb and 23rd/24th of Feb. How do these suit?

Melissa and I cannot make the Sunday of the meet as we are taking the kids to ModelRail Scotland (forgot about this until my eldest reminded me. sorry! ) at the SECC. Therefore can I ask for a couple of volunteers to be the FF Scotland contingent to hang out with our Northern friends on the the Sunday.

 

Where are people planning to sleep?

 

Jed1- no worries re Sunday if people can't make it, as I think most of us will be leaving Edinburgh early/mid afternoon (my train back is at 3.30pm)

Hal- there's a few places....a couple of Premier Inns, I think LadyP has another B&B in mind and DarthsMuse is using a hostel.

 

I don't think I can make it on the Sunday either.
