You can always not use your Force powers and lightsabers even if you don't cheat. For a time I used a fully upgrade Bagwinn(sp?) assualt blade for my dark side scout/consular in the off-hand because of its share damage potential.

Can someone PLEASE give me a cheat or something on how to kill mallack in the last battle??

Shields up, stims pumped, Force Immunity on, start with Force Breach, then Force Wave, Storm, Death Field (perferably near one of the comose Jedi), rinse and repeat.

 

Hey, how does one get the Console on PC? It says you use the ` key, but that doesnt' do anything. I tried every other key, too. I read about using cheat in KotOR, and you hafta set it up in your [game options] which I did, then you hafta access your console, which I cannot do.

 

You don't have to kill the rancor on Taris: just go solo mode, and run each party member individually past it to the safety of the doorway. And feel your heart pound as you do it. Also, there is rancor bait, but I never used it.

Always attack bosses---like Sheruk, Mandalore Commander, Bandon, Sith Dark Masters---with all your group. Don't divide them up to fight multiple opponents.

Even the hardest Dark Jedi like Bandon and Dark Masters have patterns: don't use your Force powers, they'll use theirs less. Their death fields and life drain can end combat in seconds. Always wait a few seconds into the fight, then freeze them for your life. It's the only way.

When fighting Malak on the Leviathan, all you need do is fight melee. He takes hits easily. Flurry moves helps.

Statis fielding your hard opponents works wonders. And bear in mind wearing armour negates the use of many Force powers.

It's the ~ key, not the ` key.

Meaning (if you have a standard US keyboard), you need to hit SHIFT-` to get the ~

 

I think I tried that, but I'll try again. Thanks JP. And Excellance- yeah, I didn't think of that. Unfortnately, what I did instead was run on ahead, which works great until you have to come back, and find a million mines, grenades and a couple pissed off wookies waiting for you.

So I'm gonna keep working on that console command...

 

Ok, well, I managed to beat all that stuff with a little innovative thinking. No, I never got the console to work- shift+` didn't do a thing, nor did any of the other buttons I randomly pushed, which was very odd. But like I said, I got through that trap, anyway.

 

I'm glad you managed to pass your block without cheating. For what it's worth I would imagine that you have not correctly enabled cheats, which is why ~ isn't working for you.

 

Well, I read directions somewhere on how to enable cheats, it said add "enablecheats=(any # between 0-999)" into the game options in my .ini file. I couldn't find .ini specifically, but I went into the game config file and there was game options, so I put it under there: "EnableCheats=6"

So what I do wrong, boss?

 

Before you can use codes in SW:KOTOR, you must first enable them. Open notepad or any other plain text editor (Textpad, Wordpad, BBEdit, etc.), and open the file "swkotor.ini" in your SW:KOTOR folder (by default C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR). In this file you will see sections with titles in brackets ([title]). Go to the [Game Options] section, and add the line

EnableCheats=1

under the last setting (Disable Movies=0 by default).

Then save the file and close your program. Cheats are now enabled! To use cheats ingame, hit the tilde key (~) on your eyboard (usually to the left of the 1 key), and a greater than character (>) will appear in the top-left corner of the screen. Then just type one of the codes with the proper syntax and enjoy!

 

Hey, i dont know if this goes here but i'm gonna post anyway. Has anyone come across this when they play: NONE of the characters or NCO's have pupils or eyes!!!! Has anyone noticed this or come across it, or am i the only one? Also, does anyone have the problem where there is "supposedly" a droid walking around doings things but you cant actually see the droid. Anyone have this problem. Another one is where a child on Taris has NO head, only a face. the rest of his head is just not there. Maybe my game is flawed or something but this is really bothering me. Any help would be appreciated. THanks. Happy New Year.

 

Well fellow gamers, I have found the ultimate Bug: I have to fight Darth Bandon and Calo Nord-At the same time!

Yes, I went to Kashyyyk first, but I never got out of my ship, then I went to Tatootine, and didn't get past the Hunting License thing. Then, I went to Korriban, and got as far as Calo, then had a ton of trouble against him, and then I went to Manaan and beat that planet, then I went to Kashyyyk and beat that. Soon, a cutscene occured of Bandon on the Leviathan, I then went to Korriban because Carth and I had got a TON of Level Ups, and then I saw it, Calo Nord, his cronies, Darth Bandon, and his cronies. AFTER, Bandon said Calo was dead in the cutscene. Im screwed.

I went to Tatooine after Dantooine. After the krayt dragon part, you take on Nord. His armour is amongst the best in the game, it appears. You want to kill him soon.

I found that if I move around the krayt carcass, I don't actually engage his fight. I can easily leave the area. He's still there, so I don't know if he'd have popped up elsewhere.

I haven't noticed any headless faces, and I seriously doubt you'd combat Bandon and Nord at the same time. Bandon and his two minions I fought in the Kashyyyk shadowlands, and was quite challenging. (concentrate all part members on his friends, then all on him.) Nord is one of the few bosses that actually medpack themselves. I doubt you'd fight two powerful health regeneratable bosses!

 

Does anyone know if it matters what order you choose to take on other missions? I had just as much trouble taking on both the terentateks on korriban as the first world i went to as the last one.

If enemies level up and get stronger with the main characters, then what dictates this? do they get stronger at every level, or after each star map is found?

 

I think it's by Star Maps. I recently played the game again and cheated to be level 20 the whole time, and until the end of the game, most enemies were pathetic.

 

I'm not looking for cheats or walkthroughs (I've beat the game enough allready)

I'm wondering if there are any codes that unlock hidden things, change costumes... apperances whatever?

Dear God. Even I couldn't pull that off.

 

Unless lucasarts comes out with any downloadable content for X-Box Live, there won't be any cheats for that version of the game.
