SWC19 Line and entrance procedure thread

Ah, yeah I can't see into the store but it did seem awfully strange I saw them go in but didn't see them come out.

 

It's a black hole..don't go in..

 

I'm hearing on RS that the registers are crashing and they can't get them to work. That's a shock, something isn't working properly.

 

Sarlacc pit that we have to swing across and a lot of people are scared and not moving

 

Sounds like VIP people paid that extra money to stand in line in the store instead of outside it. I saw the RS thread - said they'd been waiting over an hour.

 

Just started letting people in.

They kept turning us away to another entrance, saying skybridge is only available after 2pm. They're even closing Starbucks off even though it's not a part of the exhibit hall. Eventually they let me in when I pointed out that there of a bunch of people in Starbucks w/out Exhibitor badges. So now I'm waiting to pick up lunch in SB and will hopefully be able to consume it on one of the queues.

Lines. Lines everywhere.

Hope the Starbucks stays open - there's supposed to be a forum meet up in one of them at 3PM local time. (See the meet up thread).

All these new measures were supposed to kill the lines...

 

The staff look utterly lost. I hope they learn quickly, otherwise tomorrow will be 'fun'.

I spoke with one crew member and she had no idea what was going on.

 

Just imagine the IX panel if the staff don't know what to do...

 

So far it seems much better organized than the Fyre Festival

 

5.5 hours in store line and had to leave for Ashley photo. Beyond frustrated and upset.

That's ridiculous! They had 2 years to sort this out.

 

The store is a nightmare
It’s not on Reed Pop it’s yhe vendor who they use for all the software
It’s on Growtix
I watched them scramble around like crazy
Reed Pop for us was organized had us in line super early
I saw people throw cash on the table and leave
I was able to get shirts and that’s it
The Rancor tiki thing would not scan

Avoid the store
A lot of frustration in that place

 

How early should I get there tomorrow morning? I still have to pick up my badge and park my car. I won the lottery for the Galaxy Stage so I definitely want to be there for that because that’s something I care about. My one problem is that I am picking up a friend and she wants to get there at 9:00. My anxiety is telling me that’s too late because I have to walk from parking lot C. Am I overthinking this? I am a person who would rather be three hours early than one minute late.

 

Been in line since 9:30 at least. I'm almost in the store.

 

If it’s like this morning then security when you enter the tent, once you go inside they will split you into main floor, store, panels, etc. They didn’t keep us long in the tents at all. Security/entry was done very smoothly this morning (app and store checkouts another matter)

 

I'll give RP credit where it's due. Getting inside the building went well.

 

Ok I’m awake (kinda...) Doesn’t look to be any line forming yet so all is good. Staying in my hotel room where it’s warm for now.

 

Thanks. I'm running on adrenaline pretty much. I think I got two hours of sleep. I plan to leave for the train at 5.

 

Looks like security just arriving, handful of people are there now (about 10)
