London star wars fans: We need you!

Hi everyone! We are a group of film students studying at Westminster University in London. We are currently making a documentary on Science Fiction entusiasts and are looking for anyone based in or around london to appear in our film. We would love to interview any interesting and enthusiastic people, and especially anyone with interesting collections or hobbies which they could show us! We would be hoping to film in the first few weeks of december, and would be willing to come to you! If you would be interested, please contact us, either on here or westminster5@hotmail.co.uk. i got me a bag of sand from death valley... the sand dunes where they filmed the pick-up shots for star wars.
well,i was impressed.

 

That is interesting, where did you get it from? Did it cost a lot? Do you think you may be interested in appearing in our film at all?

Yep, a small group of us will be making it up to Cheshut for Empire Day, and I'm sure we'll say hi!

Sounds like a good project and while I'm probably too shy and embarrassed to appear on it, I'm sure some of our members would like to be involved and I'm happy to have a chat too
A few of our members (including me) re into costuming too and currently making our own fanfilm, so that might also be a direction you'd like to find more about.

i probably have about 5,000 pounds worth of Star Wars collectables (which is a nice way of saying "toys").

All i have to offer here is 3 M&M star wars figurines, a C3PO, a yoda, and of course, a couple of delivery vans!!... oh.. and a delorean

oh, you've got more than me here! My whole collection is in the Philippines.

The only thing I have here is... umm.... a birthday card with a picture of yoda on it!

 

So how will we recognise you guys at Cheshunt? Will you be the only few not dressed up?

 

Probably yeah! I don't know, hopefully we'll be obvious, there will be 4 or 5 of us and we'll have a camera and a load of equipment with us! Hopefully we'll see you there!

Just wanted to thank you guys for coming today. Your presence added a very nice dimension to the show and I know the likes of Jamie loved the attention you gave him, lol.
Hope you can make good use of the footage and sorry for not being quite brave enough to stand infront of camera myself, but feel free to contact us if you need any help with anything.

That aside, I had a whale of a time (as always) and it was good to see old faces and even better to see new ones.

 

I just hope that if they use any of my contributions that they edit it in such a way that I look at least reasonably intelligent... I thought your contribution was very funny Jamie, you certainly got the guys doing the filming laughing too
