Luke Skywalker Fans Unite!!

Uh Oh!!!! Trace has gone retro! God, I haven't heard that song in so long. You know, somewhere in my mother's moldy basement, I may still have the Footloose soundtrack on vinyl. Scary, isn't it?

 

Wormie: I know! I just realized how much I was dating myself by bringing up that song - LOL!

 

Well, now I had to go home and listen to my other favorite song by Bonnie Tyler - LOL! And, y'know, parts of it could apply to either of the romantic interests of Luke Skywalker: (was that diplomatic enough? )

Why do you like that pathetic excuse for a life-form Luke Skywalker?

He is such a whining prat. Take for example the scene in "The New Hope" when he sees the Millenium Falcon for the first time. Whilst Obi-Wan stands there completely at ease, Luke (the flid) says in the most pathetic voice ever,

"What a piece of junk!"

GOD!!!! That annoys me!!

Anybody else who does like Luke "Crybaby" Skywalker should watch a whole episode of "Telly Addicts" with cellotape over their mouth so that they had to swallow their own vomit.

 

(Groans) Not another one!
Anyway if we have to keep explaining to you guys who come in here to be annoying. The reason is that Luke is the most handsomest, sensitive, and caring guy in SW.

Trace and Neon Star: thank you!!!! Sorry I couldn't come in to the rescue sooner, but I was having problems connecting with my ISP last night (I didn't know just how dependent I was on the web until I couldn't get on last night LOL!).

Anyhow, tudd, I'd like to reiterate what Trace has said. No one says you have to like Luke, but could you perhaps show us enough respect not to come into our fan thread and make us feel like **** for loving him? Us being Luke fans won't affect you in any way, so I'd sure appreciate it if you could show us enough courtesy to take your opnions elsewhere.

Btw Trace, thank you so much. I've had visions of that simi-frightening music video in my head all day! A bunch of people in hoods turn around and they've all got glowing eyes! I tell you, I still shiver when I think about it.

Hi! I'm new to the council and just wanted to say I'm a bit Luke Skywalker fan!!! I think when we first meet him in ROTJ in Jabba's palace he had such a presence we knew he was now a JEDI!!! That was my favorite moment of his.

 

Hi guys! Taramidala, I think I might try that some time. Anyway, I heard this particular line in a song and I thought that it fit Luke pretty well.The rest of the song didn't seem to fit very well. The song was If that's what it takes and its by Celine Dion. So here they are:

I think the Close Encounters guy is Yarael Poof (Q-Tip Head) who is my first choice for "going plastic."

The official site says one of Yarael Poof's jedi powers is the ability to drive an opponent insane with his own fears.

Well, as far as the topics at hand, I'd have to say that I don't believe that Luke would have gone to the dark side, but that's my own opinion. I can see both sides of the issue, as they were explored throughorly (I can NEVER spell that word correctly, grr!) and very intelligently. However, I still don't think he'd go back. I think he did have a major struggle during ROTJ, particualrly in that really great cinematographic (is that a word? I'm REALLY tired. . .) moment during the final sabre duel with Darth where he has the blue light on one side of his face and the black on the other. (Do you know what I'm talking about?) Anyway, that's just my two cents. Thanks for the "thinker" moment!

Also, I feel sorry for those who think they have to be rude and annoying to feel better about themselves. That just shows how weak they are as people. Let us remember not to be like them! (Not saying that we are, I think the situation was handled excellently! It's just nice to run into those types every once in a while to remind myself how NOT to be.)

WEll, I'm sure I have more to say, but I shan't bore you with it.
