Beyond - Legends March New Story Index

Welcome to the March New Stories Index for the Beyond the Saga Board!

This Index will be updated daily with new fan fiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both the Before the Saga and The Saga Boards. Keep in mind I?m on EST, so if you posted a fic, and don?t see it on the index; check the day previous or next day?s index posts to see if it was a victim board time vs. real time (for me anyway).

I'll be maintaining this Index. If you've got any questions, please feel free to send me a Private Message. While I will be checking for new stories as often as I can, you?re welcome to send me the information for your fic via PM.

Challenge responses will not be indexed as they are to be included on the Fan Fiction Master Challenge Index Threadlocated on the Resource board. However, if you would like me to add it to the month?s current New Stories Index, just PM me the info, and I?ll add it to the day?s index log.

To make it easier for me when gathering the story data, please headline your fic with the following information in the first post. Keep in mind, this isn?t just a place for New Stories to be indexed, but a chance for free advertisement, so you?ll want to fill in as much info as possible to make your fic stand out.

Characters: Kyp Durron aka Darth [Insert decent sounding Darth Name here] and Jacen Solo aka Darth Caedus, Natasi Daala

Kyp?s the Master, Jacen?s the student ? for clarification.

Daala works for the Sith. And these two Sith are badass; as in really, really, really, really evil. Reach into that Dark Side of yourself and write them as evil as you can.

Write a scene in which Daala receives orders she doesn?t like. She starts to argue and gets all snarky and sarcastic, which angers Kyp Durron (Darth [Insert decent sounding Darth Name here]). Have him remind her in a painful way that he is the one issuing orders. Be creative. Force lightning is old.

There should be a reference to the time Daala tortured Kyp as a young man. Payback is lovely, isn?t it?

In the end, Daala does what she is ordered to do but with revenge in mind, of course. Perhaps it?s time to turn to her enemy for assistance ? the Jedi.


Title: May the Force be With You

Timeframe: In the SW universe, this story takes place during the events chronicled in "The Courtship of Princess Leia". In the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe, the events take place between the episodes, ?Deja Q? and ?A Matter of Perspective?.
Note: As stated in the subject line, this is in response to the dare challenge, which is as follows: Your story must be set sometime after Rogue Squadron and before the New Jedi Order. It must include the following:

At least three lines from Star Wars Cantina, as sung by Richard Cheese (in bold)

A hyperactive Kowakian monkey-lizard

At least one reference to Lord of the Rings

At least two references to Star Trek in some way, shape, or form

The main character must be an OC* who works for the Intergalactic Enquirer, but who desperately wants to be known as a serious journalist. The writer of the story can decide how it comes to pass that a coveted and rare interview with non other than Han Solo himself fell into her lap (A drunken bet by Solo that he lost? An underground fundraiser that Han got somehow coerced into doing? A lucky break at a bar? The Author is free to choose.) Will the 'story' become the 'Big Break?' or perhaps the road to riches because of the bounty on Han's head? Or will our journalist have a crisis of conscience? Run with it!
