Nah. Luke will always have a blue saber in my personal fandom. Green is just... not his color.

 

I was just kidding, but he looks so wizard with a green saber!

 

I prefer green as it harkens me back to Qui-Gon and the full circle of the current saga

 

Funny, we all know there was ZERO significance to the character when they decided to change the saber color from blue to green. It had all to do with filming against blue sky at the time. They thought green looked better.

 

So? There's significance now. That's what matters.

 

31 years later I cant believe I am looking at Luke Skywalker again!

Luke is definitely a trimmed beard kind of guy.

I remember saying that of course Mark and Carrie would be asked to get in shape, and of course these two professionals would do just that.

And being told the following:

A. Disney would never expect or ask either to do that.

and/or

B. Neither would ever be able to pull it off.

Funny how those people seem to be conveniently quiet these days...

 

Exactly, I remember being there on the front lines with you.

I can't wait for the media to start picking up on these images and using them in their EVII coverage so that all the "comment posters" that made all the fat comments can eat some crow.

 

I don't want to give any spoilers away, but for those who have seen X-Men: Days of Future Past...

It could be a "Han Solo movie" in the way the new X-Men was a "Wolverine movie". But if Luke was the Xavier and Leia the Mystique, it all would still work out beautifully.

 

Every X-Men movie is a Wolverine movie. No spoilers there.

 

Or like Han and family go looking for Luke due to a new threat. That's what I'm thinking.

 

I've always been an advocate of the beard. A beard on a man of a certain age, and a certain weight, can be most flattering. For me it never had anything to do with harkening back to Obi Wan, but rather wanting Mark, as Luke, to get the most flattering look.

Having said that, Mark has slimmed down so much in the face that part of me wants to see how he looks sans beard. Because in that photo his facial structure looks the closest I've seen to ROTJ Luke since the 90s.

Yes, I think we kinda've been forgetting that this is Luke Bleeping Skywalker. He's the main hero of the OT. Han and Leia were cool but this guy did all the tough job.

Hope he'll be back in full force for the ST.

 

Mark Must have a Beard in Episode VII. I will not accept a clean baby face, lol.

 

Mark and Carrie really did great and lost a lot of weight. I'm very happy for them for getting healthier but I'm upset at all the haters who had negative comments about them just cause they gainned weight as they go older like a majority of people. But again they did great and they are going to look great in Episode VII.
