Sounds like they're just adapting George's original sequel plans minus Kylo and such. Sounds like he trains Talon in this from what I've read.

And Nightbrothers are working for Maul, he did not abandon them, that is rather heartwarming.

Too bad that animated Pykes finally had fallen into TBoBF design, at least they held out until the end of TBB.

 

And i think this will be her origin story and have big plans her in the future in post ROTJ to post Sequel era maybe.

I cant wait for Maul to bring the Pykes, Hutts and Black Sun under his control. See why everyone fears even the whispers of the man behind Crimson Dawn and Dryden Vos.

 

Saw the leaked trailer. Looks PHENOMENAL. This seems like it has the potential to be one of the best SW animated shows, up there with the Clone Wars. The animated style and quality seems to be insanely good.

I am all in for Darth Talon's origin story, and very happy that once again Filoni has found a way to honor George's plans for the sequels and adapt them into the current continuity. They can keep Talon's appearance however they want to, there was nothing wrong with her appearance in Legends.

 

Talon’s legends appearance made sense with tbe POV that Krayt was an embodiment of toxic masculinity

the same characterization doesn’t work for maul

maul will likely treat her as a daughter figure rather than an extension of his will

 

Yess Talon will be more like a daughter to Maul and not the toxic relationship we might have gotten. She and Qira will be Maul's legacy. He do to them what he tried and failed at with Ezra.. and this is still animation an for teenagers so i dont know if they want a teen character to go full sexy sith.

 

This should be a good show, I plan to watch it for sure, but I'm not overly excited about it either. Maul's a good character, but I was kind of happy to be done with him.

However, I suspect some of the characters and situations introduced will end up being the big draw of the show. Especially if they're recycling some GL content.

 

I didn't expect this as an upcoming story, but now it's my most anticipated (next to Ahsoka). Trivial connection: In Rebels, when asked who he was hunting, the Eighth Brother said, "A shadow."

 

I could hold my breath until I turn blue, wanting a Ventress series instead. Maul, for being dead, sure gets a lot of screen time. I'll watch and probably enjoy, just a bit tired of Maul and the Clones. Got enough of Maul in TCW and Rebels.

 

Darth Talon will be the big star of this show i believe. And will be like Ahsoka a big part of the future of storytelling..

I understand that but Ventress might not a warrant a story now as she is just a free agent now. Darth Vader been used all over the media and Maul been Away for almost 10 years in any storytelling.

 

Could be. I hope they don't overdo it with her. My criticism of the character in the past was the objectification involved. Hopefully they don't resort to that.

 

Saw it too looks good. Bittersweet knowing that we coulda gotten but I'll take it!

 

No confirmed, we assume and Theory. Even if its not it be inspired by the character.

 

Most are assuming it's her. Or a version or take on her.

 

We know Dave Filoni loves to honour George Lucas, and Darth Maul trains a twi'lek so its at least a take on the character.

 

I mean’t for budget production not character development nor digital technology.

Didn't Maul drop the "Darth" title? I'm guessing Maul and Talon (assuming she's named Talon) won't be using that Sith title.

 

Sam Witwer also said on stream that Matt Michnovetz is the head writer. That's nice.

 

I wonder if this show will have multiple seasons or is a limited show?

 

You know its amazing how influenceful the Ostrander/Duursema stuff was for the franchise
