Welcome all to the May New Stories Index for the Before the Saga Board:

This Index will be updated daily with new fan fiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both the Beyond the Saga and The Saga Boards.

I will be maintaining this Index to the best of my abilities. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a Private Message. While I will be locating new stories everyday, you?re welcome to send me (mouse2) the information for your fic via PM. Please! *hint hint* Challenge responses will not be indexed as they are usually indexed on the Resource board, but if you PM the information to me I will add it.

Notes: Written for the Grape Jello Dare Challenge at Jello Anarchy. This bit of evil was my challenge from oe. It's also 5 posts long. Well, at least it's not a drabble.
Dare: From obi-ew: Lightside Xan! Wahoo!
He can?t have an evil or nasty bone in his body or even be tempted to turn. Must be a Jedi. Must be between the ages of 10 and 30. Length of the vig is your choice but it can not be a drabble. And he can not die in the vig or already be dead ie a blue ghostie. Other than that it is up to you.

Author's Note: This is in response to the Dare Challenge. My challenge was: Write Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan paired up with another Knight and padawan pair. There must be plenty of animosity between - not the two teams - but between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. The other team must be sanctimonious, very polite. Only conversations, no descriptions at all. Obi and Qui might be any age. There must be a yellow room, a blue bottle, and wailing banshee. Master Yoda must fly through the Council Chamber. Someone must lose two tunics, and there must be a bowl of papli fruits turned over. A window must be smashed, and a door must get stuck.

Summary: There are dark corners even in the light side of the Force. In an attempt to illuminate one of them, Obi-Wan?s Padawan sister recounts how he survived the Jedi?s most horror-filled rite of passage.
Notes: Yes, this is another image challenge story that got out of control. The picture below looks somewhat like my OC, Waqkemé Noori, as a young woman. Or at least like my idea of her. She?s been written by both DarthIshtar and BrightFeather, however, and since I write open-source fanfic, their interpretations are also valid. Oh?and the gun is named after bi0nic, because he knew what it was, and I didn?t.
Other Notes: The story is narrated by Kemé, but adult Obi-Wan is acting as her editor and anchoring her to reality. Text in bold red are Obi-Wan's "editorial insertions."

Oh--this is also set in my "alternate EU." There is no connection between it and Obi-Wan's official backstory.

Note: I'm certainly no Qui-gon expert, not even mildly educated, but I have seen TPM and that counts for something. Qui-gon has become more interesting to me than ever before. I'm going to combine the third and fifth challenges from the Qui-gon challenge thread in this short story. I know the opening is short, but there is more to come. I hope it works. I may just include the current challenge of killing Qui-gon. The possibilities are endless!
