Yes, and it was a good session. Early tomorrow we see the psychiatrist.

 

My butt hurts but I'm so happy I'm not at work.

That's basically the sum of it, yes.

Tomorrow I have the phone interview for the freelance job. Really really hope that goes well so I can quit my current one regardless of if I get one of the full time ones I've interviewed for.

 

Had appt at Psych Registrar today @ hospital as follow up to the Psych Nurses who visited me @ my home tuesday.

He made various suggestions etc for me to follow up with my General Practictioner and reinforced the acute care team is 24/7 to call.

I am thankful and grateful that I live in a country where this level of assistance exists.

I used to hate my job so much that I tried to harm myself. On company premises. I managed to stop myself the moment before the blade touched my skin. I handed in my resignation five minutes later and walked out the door. I've never looked back. No job is worth the loss of your sanity or life.

I suppose, after that rather depressing tale, I should add that I found a new job four months after that horrible day. I've been there for years now and I'm very, very happy there.

Rough week. I hardly slept at all last night, and I'm still shaky this morning. I keep reminding myself that these are just physical sensations, that nothing is actually wrong, but it gets hard after shaking uncontrollably all night. I have almost a week till my next therapist visit, and almost 8 weeks till my next psychiatry appt. Right now it's hell and I want to go back onto any med that'll help, even the one with awful withdrawl. Would appreciate some prayers that this improves. (I know it always does, but it's hard to believe that right now.)

Can you call your psychiatrist and ask to be seen sooner? Being miserable and unable to sleep are significant symptoms. At the very least, they should know that whatever meds you’re on now aren’t working.

Yes. Reminded me of my last appointment with the useless general practioner I will cease going to now. Looked at me for five minutes, balked about my gastrointestinal system still being off after a month of antibiotics and the whole listeria thing, and gave me an attitude because his receptionist told me I could eat before this particular blood test (I couldn’t).

So for five minutes and douchy behavior > co-pay.

Been keeping it together by walking, drawing and thinking positively. Diet helps my mood tremendously and I have to work on that.

I am glad to hear folks are coming along okay in this thread. And for those who are struggling: You all have my support and heart.

 

I'm definitely doing better today cause I am at work. I hate being stuck in my house. I also had a nice swim this AM. Anxiously waiting for my appointment Monday. Very nervous as the weather report is iffy. I don't want this postponed. I want to get better.

 

Longest morning ever... my son was prescribed two meds--an antidepressant and an antipsychotic. Good times. He starts taking them tomorrow.

My psychiatrist appointment is on 2/19.

Sorry to hear things are crappy, @Sauntaero, lack of sleep takes a terrible toll on body and mind.

 

About to have my interview with the freelance job that could hold me over until I get full time work.

I got the freelance job! And they were very understanding about my surgery, so I'm gonna start it the first of February.
