Yay, the Mini-Games are back! I'm well on my way to using up the prompts I already have from past challenges, so time to stock up on new ones.

@devilinthedetails Can I please have #2 from the Obi-Wan Kenobi Sass Master Challenge? And while I'm at it, I might also take #2 from the Edgar Allan Poe Poetry Challenge if you still have that list.

@ConservativeJedi321 Yours sounds very tempting, but I'm afraid that I'm in exactly the wrong age bracket for it and chances are I won't have seen the movies and shows on your list. I'll wait to see a few of the prompts to get a better idea of the sort of thing you have in there before I sign up.

Oh wow. Both are great prompts, and I'm very lucky that I'm not expected to use them in the same story Thank you @devilinthedetails !

 

I recognize mine is somewhat of a niche topic that is most likely to appeal to a certain subset of my own generation.
If it sooths any concerns each of my topic does have a YouTube video link to the scene in question and I'd happily consult based on what I know.
I understand hesitation, however.

I remember seeing the trailer for Meet the Robinsons before it came out, but I didn't see the movie itself until nearly a decade later when my kids found it on Netflix. IIRC, I got a little misty-eyed at that ending. Thanks for the inspiration and for reminding me that I need to watch this movie again!

 

Good to see you like your prompt @ViariSkywalker! Convenient that you have some experience telling time travel stories. (Not that it is necessary for this challenge, I'm more interested in recreating the feels than the plot). Really, I could just as easily have chosen the whole ending scene because it is an emotional rollercoaster that is done so well. It would just be a lot harder to model a fic on it without losing a lot of the nuances. Hence, I skimmed it down to just the scene on the orphanage roof.
