    I felt he realised that he wasn't going to get to use Grogu for his evil plans, it seems logical that he thought if he couldn't have Grogu, the Jedi wouldn't have him either. Whether that was a specific order given to him, remains to be seen. I think it's still open on whether Gideon is acting independently or is under the command of a greater being.

    That’s the biggest question about him right now, and a lot of his efficacy as a villain kind of depends on it. He might weirdly come off as more competent and dangerous if he has a boss than if he doesn’t, because long term goals could be served by his actions in spite of his failure.

    I'm wondering about the next step now. Whose prisoner is he; The New Republic's or Bo-Katan's? If the New Republic have him, interrogate him and are allowed access to the databanks on his cruiser then that could be the jumping off point for Rangers. Investigating what the Imperial Remnant are really up to in the Outer Rim.

    That's a great point. The intel gotten from his capture ought to be more than enough fuel for "rangers of the New Republic" to launch whatever their mission may be.

    I'm assuming that Gideon being from ISB will become relevant again at some point. So far his exact role in the Empire remains a bit of a mystery.

    I also recommend subscribing to the channel as it's pretty good and hasn't gone downhill like all the other Star Wars YouTubers out there.

    Okay no I’ll tell you @Sarge drip is just basically good fashion. It’s like an evolved version of “your looking snazzy” is that a thing people say or have I just made up a word. To urban dictionary I go.

    a solid tip for all you boomers and millennials and Gen X out there if you ever want to find out slang just look it up on Urban dictionary.

    I really want to know if Gideon has a Mandalorian past, or if his evil plan is to just culturally appropriate his way into Galactic domination.[face_laugh]
    He clearly wants to be a Vader cosplayer... but he also clearly would enjoy a day out on the space beach with Palpatine, cackling while punting puppies to see who can have them go *splat* the furthest away.

    Esposito is like McDiarmid; he may be having too much fun in the role, and I'm there for it!

    There is a vast difference between Gideon and Sidious in that Sidious was being sarcastic and/or sardonic the vast majority of the time in order to provoke the Dark Side in people, even through simple speech.

    Gideon actually just talks this way. And it makes Grievous seem subdued in comparison.
